"The magic thing about coming home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back." -Wendy Wunder

"We'll miss you!" My friend Amèlie shouts at me, wrapping her arms around my neck. "I'll miss you too." I say, doing my best to pull her off me. I didn't really like hugs, but Amèlie loved to give them. "You'll be back right?" Lucas asks. I could tell neither of them wanted me to go, but it's been almost four years since I saw my family. It's time for me to go home. I had moved to France a while ago as an exchange student. I had only planned on staying for a semester or two, but then two turned into three, and three semesters turned into three years.

Amèlie's family was my exchange family, and we became like sisters. Lucas went to my new school and we meet there. I had to give up a lot by moving to France, but I gained a lot too. I had to leave my brother, and I missed him like crazy. I thought I would have to give up beyblading as well. I've loved the sport since I was little. It's always been a dream of mine to travel though, and I wanted to follow it. So off I went. On my first adventure, Lui joined me. We spent time over seas in America. Afterwards, I couldn't get enough of it. Durning the summers in France, I would travel throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. I can't keep track of all the new things I learned and saw, and all the interesting people I met. Lui wasn't too excited about the fact I was leaving, but he soon got over it. I heard from him pretty often, and I wrote to him when ever I could.

It turned out, the school I went to had a great beyblading program, and they held tournaments around the country just like the ones back in Japan. I figured, why not do both the things I loved.

Back in Japan I got runner up in the nationals. My twin brother Lui was the champion. That was his first win, and ever since I left he's won three more, going for his fifth now. I've watched every one of his competitions, and I know he's watched mine. As of now, I'm the three time reining champion in France, just coming off of my third win. I've learned a lot from being here, but I'm ready to see my brother again.

That brings us to here, Amèlie on the verge of tears as I was about to get on the plane. "We're gonna miss our champion." Lucas says while patting my shoulder. "Well it's about time someone knocks Lui of his thrown." I say. My beyblade season was over, but in Japan it was only half way through. Next year, I planned on taking Lui's top spot. "We'll be watching. And I hope your watching when I become France's next national champion." Lucas tells me. I smiled lightly, I believed him. Lucas had come runner up to me two out of the three times I won.

The fact that Lucas was so good was probably the only reason we became friends in the first place. I openly admit that I'm very standoffish, it took me almost a year to get used to Amèlie's perky nature.

"Section B 1-25 now boarding." A voice said over the speaker. I look down at my ticket, it was my turn. Amèlie engulfed me in another hug, and this time I decided to hug back. Fully aware that if I didn't she would follow me onto the plane. "Don't worry to much, we'll see each other again." I say and picked up my luggage. I waved goodbye and got onto the plane.

It's hard to believe I'm actually going home after all this time. I'm not sure what to expect. I know that people I knew have changed, including my brother. I didn't really have any friends. I only knew a few names around town. I've been keeping track of this year's Japanese tournament. There's a new blader rising up, named Valt Aoi. His skills are pretty impressive. Then there are people that were expected to make it far. Such as the Supreme Four: Zac the Sunrise, Xander Shakadera, Shu Kurenai, and of course my brother Lui.

I was already enrolled in my brother's school, Rideout Academy, and started there in two days. I leaned my seat back slightly and put my head back. Might as well get some sleep
