"We don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason."-Unknown

We ran around. The sound of our laughter alerting some of the people walking by, but we didn't care. Our mom chased us around the grassy area as Lui and I ran from her. Each of running a different way so both of us wouldn't get caught. Our mom hated when we did that, but she always told us that seeing us smile made it worth it. I watched, hiddening behind a tree as she focused her sights on Lui. She reached forward and grabbed the back of his shirt, picking him up and spinning him around. He let out another laughas my mom and him feel to the ground giggling. I ran from the tree's safety and hoped onto of them, wanting to join in on the fun. My mom sat up and hugged us close to her, kissing us both on the tops of our heads. She then let us go to continue our playing. Her smile never once leaving her face.

I slowly opened my eyes as the memory faded. I looked down at the bay below me with a sad smile. I didn't take my normal running route today, but something just drew me here. I've never actually been here before. It was a small platform next to the national stadium building that looked over the bay. It was a beautiful sight. I can't believe I haven't been here before.

The last week had been rough. Old memories played in my head more than they used to, and I I've been waking up a lot from nightmares. Living with Gabe has been alright, but it's weird being around his parents. They welcomed us in as if we were they're own and have treated us as if we've been their children their whole life. I'm grateful, but at the same time it's hard.

The sun had come up only a bit ago, and I had snuck out to come here, but I don't know why. I woke up this morning and grabbed my bey, something I do every morning, but the Ryūjin started speaking to me. Saying that I needed to come here, that it was important. So that's what I did. Ryūjin never lies to me me, and I trust her. Still though, I was a bit confused. She's stopped talk now so I was left alone with my thoughts.

Returning to Japan has been a rollercoaster ride. I mean, it's lead to so much. I've lost a lot and I've gained a lot from being home. I've made so many new friends, I didn't even think it was possible for me to get along with people so well.

I closed my eyes again, thinking about everything that has happened. I started at a new school, made new friends there, meet the Beigoma Academy Beyclub and by some miracle managed to become friends with them, and then meet my brother's biggest rival. Shu. Even through everything that's happened the red eye'd blader just won't leave my thoughts. Maybe it's because he and my brother have a past. Maybe it's because he's been the nicest to me out of everyone I've run into. Literally. Maybe it's just because if some weird test of fate, but whatever it is, I'm glad it happened.

I pulled out Ryūjin again, hoping she would tell me something. The face of the bey shimmered slightly against the sun."Turn around."  A quiet voice in my head said. I did as I was told, and sure enough, there he was.

|Shu's p.o.v.|

I held Spryzen out in front of me as he acted like sort of a compass. I didn't know where he wanted me to go, but he didn't want to practice this morning. Which is very rare. Instead he wanted me to go somewhere. I trust Spryzen, so I listen.

After walking for a bit I saw the field I spotted Lui and Rin running around in. My mind drifted to the two of them. Word spreads fast here, especially when it involves two major stars like the Shirasagis. Practically everyone in town now knows that they're staying with the Brunai's, but no one was really sure why. I haven't seen Rin in about a week, so I haven't got the chance to ask. I just can't manage to get the girl of my mind. Every day it's like a new surprise with her. I never know what to expect. She's totally something else.
