"Every new friend is a new adventure... ... the start of a new memories."     -Patrick Lindsay

"Ready?" My brother asks. I nod and walk towards the door. "Did you sleep?" He asks. "No." I say back. I knew I would be tired later today, but I know being back is going to take some getting used to. Plus, it's an impossible task to force yourself to fall asleep.

"Do you know Gabe Brunai?" I ask. Lui looks at me with his usual blank expression. "Yeah, I know him." He says, looking back infront of him. "How do you know about him?" He asks. "I did some research on the school after I couldn't get back to sleep." I say. "Do you plan on being apart of the team battles?" I ask. "I'm already a memeber." He says. I was a bit shocked. Lui didn't like working with people. Gabe must have had to do some serious convincing. "We just haven't figured out who's going to be are fifth memeber." He says. I nod and the conversation goes silent.

I know that Lui treats me differently than a lot of people. Lui's pretty stuck up and can be very arrogant and rude, but that's just his personality. It just got worse after are mom died, and he's changed even more after I left. He changes around me though, and I know I change around him. It usually takes me a while to trust people, but I could talk to him all day. Even if he doesn't like talking back.

It was weird having everyone stare at me when I first arrived on the school grounds, but with one stern look from Lui, their heads turned. The scared and shocked looks on their faces were kinda funny, and it was enough to make me laugh slightly.

"What's first?" I ask, referring to class. "Science." He states. I groan out loud. Science was not my strong suit. (A.N. Sorry all you science lovers.) I nod and once again, things go silent. When we entered the class room, Lui made a beeline for a desk next to a window and sat down. I looked around. Only about a dozen people were in the class, including me and my brother. I did a once over of every one in the room.

Only one person caught my eye though. It was Gabe Brunai himself. He looked up from the conversation he was having and caught my eye. He raised and eyebrow and I looked away, walking over to the seat next to Lui. He had his chin resting on his hand as he stared out the window. I looked over his shoulder to see what he was looking at, but there wasn't anything there.

"He does that every day." I hear someone say behind me. I turn around, it was Gabe. "Your Lui's sister right?" He asks. "Is it that obvious?" I ask sarcastically, rolling my eyes. I lean back in my seat and cross my arms. "Do you need something?" I ask. "Just wanted to introduce myself. Gabe..." He starts to stick his hand out. "Brunai." I finish for him. "I know." I stare at his hand and he eventually decides to put it down.

"I saw you win the French nationals this year. Your pretty good." He says. Just pretty good?  "Of course she is. She's my sister." Lui says. I hadn't noticed he had tuned into our conversation. "Yeah, I guess so." He says, smiling lightly. "I hope you'll be joining are bey club?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders.

"To your seats please." A strict looking women in a pantsuit says as she walked in.

The first three classes were what I expected, boring. Though, when Lui told me Geography was next, I got a bit excited. After traveling so much, you become kind of an expert. "So what's the teacher like?" I ask either Gabe or Lui, which ever one answered. Gabe just kinda stuck around after the first class. I didn't really mind though. I mean, he was pretty cool. I'd learned to ask about the teachers because in my first class, are teacher was very strict, in my second class he was so chill that there practically was no class, and the third class was A nice balance in the middle. "He's pretty chill, but he still actually teaches the class. He doesn't have a lot of rules. If you have question or an answer to one you can just say it." Gabe ended up being the one that answered.

When I walked in the class I saw the teacher was already there. This slightly surprised me. Most of the teachers arrived right before class started. Avoiding the students as long as they possibly could. I caught one teacher speed walking towards the teacher's lounge like it was her saving grace.

The Geography teacher had slightly spiky brown hair, black glasses, a dress shirt, and a very loosely done tie. If he had the same attitude Gabe said he did, his look matched perfectly. When he noticed three more students entered the class room he looked up and when he saw me he slid his phone into his back pocket and stood up.

"Hello, you must be Rin Shirasagi." He says, holding his hand out for me to shake, I reluctantly shake it. "There's an empty seat next to your brother if you'd like to take that one." He says, nodding towards the empty chair. I nod and take my seat, along with Lui.

When everyone arrived he pulled down a world map over the chalk board. "Today we are going to continue studying Russian geography, specifically rivers." He states. There were a few groans from a few students in the back that weren't particularly happy to be here. "Now, does anyone know what the longest river in Russia is?" He asks. He looks around the class room waiting for someone to answer, and when no one did, I decided too.

"It's the Yenisei River. It's approximately 3,445 miles long, but technically it only flows 97% in Russia. The other three percent passes over into Mongolia. It is ranked as the fifth longest river globally and its full name is the Yenisei-Angara-Selenge river because of the two other rivers that flow into it." I say. The class was so silent that you could practically hear the crickets outside. "Very good, how did you come so familiar with this topic?" The teacher asks. "I spent a month in Russia two summers ago." I say. He gives a smile and nods before turning back to the board and continued the lesson.

I notice several glares coming my way in the class from the supposedly 'smart kids'. After that I made it my mission for the rest of class to make them look bad. "Wow, I wasn't expecting that." Gabe said to me as we left. "You were so quiet in the other classes." I shrug.

I continued to follow the two of them, but I couldn't help but raise and eyebrow when we past right by the lunch hall. I ate last at 3:00 am and I was getting hungry.

"Lui where are we going? I'm hungry!" I whine. "Would you stop thinking about your stomach? We train during lunch." Lui says. I groan, but follow them in a room with eight different bey stadiums. Woah, this school takes blading seriously. I saw three other people in the room. A smaller boy with spiky black hair and an orange shirt. A tall boy with green hair cut into a bowl style. Then a boy with brown hair with sunglasses holding it back.

"Guys, I'd like you to met Rin Shirasagi." Gabe says, gesturing his hand towards me. "Rin, this is Shinki Mikuni," The boy with the green hair. "Kyo Sandai," The short one. "and Katana Sakaki." The boy with the glasses. I give a nod to each of them. "Is she joining the club?" Kyo asks. "I'm just here to watch today." I say and sit down on the floor and lean against a wall. I watched for a while, grabbing my stomach about halfway through. Why couldn't I have just stopped for lunch?

"You good?" I look over to see Katana. "Yeah, just hungry." I say. He walked away and returned with his backpack. He pulled something out of it. A piece of bread. "What's this?" I ask, grabbing it from him. "A sesame seed roll." He says. I immediately drop it on the floor. "Dude! What was that about?" He asks. "Sorry. I'm allergic to sesame seeds." I say. "Oh." Was all he said as he picked up the piece of bread and tossed it into a near by trash can. "Thanks for the offer." I say. "A Shirasagi saying thank you? I never thought I'd live to see the day." He jokes. "I'm not my brother." I tell him. "Yeah, no kidding. You want to battle?" He asks. "Sure." I say. We get into positions with our beys. Kyo joins us to referee.

"Ready! Set! 3, 2, 1. Let it Rip!"

"And it's Rising Ryūjin with the win with a Burst finish." Kyo announced. "Woah, you're even better than Lui!" He then shouts in excitement. "I wouldn't push it that far." Lui says, coming up behind me. I roll my eyes at his arrogance. "Do guys know who's competing in the team battles?" I ask, placing my bey back into my pocket. "A bunch of rookies." Lui say, launching his own bey into the stadium.

"Aren't all the Supreme memebers going to be a part of it?" I ask. "Yeah, Xander and Zac are both captains and then Lui and Shu are both apart of teams." Shinki says. "I still can't believe you got Lui to join." I say, a small smile on my face as I imagined how that conversation played out. "When's the first team battle?" I ask. "The first competition is next Saturday." Gabe says. "I'll be there."
