"The only really things in life is the unexpected things. Everything else is just an illusion."-Watkin Tudor Jones

It took forever for me to explain to the team what really happened in that video, and some still didn't believe me. Diago and Ken both trusted me right away. They believed that nothing happened, but also made it clear that even if something did, there wouldn't be a problem with it. Wakiya totally blew up about it. Saying how 'I'd probably giving all of our secrets away'. It took more to convince him, but I finally did. Then there was Valt and Honcho, who are now both completely convinced that I'm in love, and no amount of persuading could get them to change their minds.
So here I am, sitting on the bench at the team finals. It gave all of us a surprise when Rin walked out with the team, but I wasn't totally upset to see her. Are last meeting didn't exactly go as planned, but it didn't exactly turn out bad. Valt wouldn't stop sending sly smiles my way.
I'm shocked Lui actually had the nerve to show up. He hadn't showed up to any matches and I couldn't decide who was the cause of his appearance here today. Was it Valt, Rin, or myself. The possibility that he actually was here for his team was unlikely.
Honcho kept sticking his elbow into my side until I finally turned to him. "I saw you giving those looks to Rin while on stage." He whispers. I inwardly sigh. "Do I really need to explain this again? All I did was smile." I say. "There's nothing to explain." He says. "Good." I state, hoping it was over, it wasn't. "You're in love with Rin and there is nothing you can say to hide it." He finished. "I'm not in.." I cut myself off, knowing there is no reason to fight him right now. Valt's match was about to begin.
We all stood up as Lui and Valt spoke. Anger rose through me as I saw his bey. "I've been waiting for this." I say, ever since he beat me, I've been wanting to see his bey in action again. I looked at them, the looks in their eyes saying everything. Valt and the team were shocked by its counterclockwise rotation. "How's it doing that?" Honcho asks. "Well, Lost Luinor spins counterclockwise." I say. I thought they would have figured it out after seeing Rin's bey in action, so I hadn't brought up the detail earlier. "It's going for a direct hit." Diago states in shock. "That's because it's unusual rotation gives it the advantage in a straight on attack." I explain.
Valt dodges, and the team celebrates, but I knew better. This is exactly how my battle with him went. Lui seemed surprised at his ability though. He clearly underestimated Valt. But it ended too soon as Lui won with a burst finish, tying the score.

Lui walked back to us as after he won. Valt looked a mix of angry, upset and surprised. "Wait! Hang on!" Valt shouts as he runs towards are side of the stage. He trips and slides to the side of the stadium. The whole arena burst out laughing before going silent as Valt's head popped up from behind the small barrier. "You really live up to your reputation. Cool!" Valt says, a huge smile on his face. Everyone stood in shock, but I burst out laughing. Not only at Valt, but everyone's shocked faces, including Lui's. I put a hand on my mouth to try and hide my sudden outburst. "I know I looked pretty bummed just now, but I'm over it. Luinor is super awesome! So what do you say to another battle?" Valt asks. Lui turns around more to look him straight in the eye, probably to see if he was being serious. "Is that a yes?" Valt asks.
Lui walks towards us again. "Where are you going?!" Valt shouts, wanting an answer, even if it was no. I had moved my hand, but I just couldn't stop laughing. This whole scenario was very strange and entertaining. "Time out!" Shu called out, shocking everyone. "Hey, you scared me." Valt says as Shu grabbed his wrist. "Come here, I need to talk to you." He says, starring at Valt before catching my eyes. He smiled lightly and held my gaze until he was forced to turn around and see where he was going.
