It wouldn't be a true poke on phase If I don't think of a fan Region the fan gym leaders, a fan elite four, and a fan champion.
So yeah! The Howard Region! It's basically Louisiana, Mississippi, And Alabama in the United States. Google a map and those three states are the Region!
First let's talk about the Region itself The Howard Region isn't like the other regions. Why? It's a lot poorer and it's more run down. It's a place with poverty on the streets everywhere. People desperate for money they don't have. Inflammation everywhere.
The Pokémon are all different ones from different regions. Lots of poison, dark, and ghost types live in the cities while the bug, grass, and water types live near the river. There isn't really much of anything else around here.
Your starters are a choice from Mudkip, Chikorita, and Tepig. And you're going to want Tepig because fire types are scarce.
Now, let's start with the gym leaders. Before you ask. Yes. Yes I did draw them.

The first gym takes place in the third town you enter called Facilier Town. The gym leader is a dark type gym leader named Amour. Amour is deceptive and will try to scam you like a normal civilian until she realizes you're a chalenger. She will apologize and take you back to her "workplace". The gym is a lot like a casino lounge kind of thing. Being the first gym, Amour has two Pokémon. A Purrloin and a houndour. Beat her and the Spade Badge is yours.
The second gym is in Cassé City with Jason. Jason does his best to protect his friends. See, Cassé City is basically where all the gangs hide out. If we're talking the outsiders, it's where the greasers live. Jason will Be protective and hostile until he confirms you aren't a threat and learns you're a challenger. Being the leader of his city he was elected gym leader by processing of elimination. He uses poison type Pokémon. He has three. A Stunky, a Croagunk, And a Trubbish. Beat him and the Pride Badge is yours.
The Third gym is In Schuyler City. The place is way brighter and cheerier than the other place. People are happy and there are smiles on a lot of people. You will meet Elle, the gym leader, in the plaza. She will greet you and offer you a baguette she just bought. When she learns your a challenger she will say "On! Where are my manners? Come along, my gym is 'round here." And you will battle her. Elle uses fire type Pokémon. She has a Growlithe, a Pignite, and a Ponyta. Beat her and the Burn Badge is yours. After you receive all the badges, if you come back you can get a side quest from her that's about her backstory. Comment if you want me to write it.
The fourth gym is near the river in Baie town. It's small and quaint and in a swampy land. The locals, the few there are, just call the town "The Swamp". The gym leader is the man of the family with a sickly mother and five younger siblings. He's only gym leader because he says the only person who's strong enough. When he meets you and learns you're a challenger he will battle you in the marsh, not having an actual gym. He is the bug type gym leader His Pokémon include Masquerain, Leavanny, Krickettune, And Dustox. If you beat him, the Swap Badge is yours.
