Chapter 12

At The Hospital!

Everyone was still in shock after the doctor explained what was wrong with Alex.

Larry: " She is going to have my baby ? She is , wait how far is she doctor"?

Doctor: Let me check her charts, she is 12 weeks a long!

By this time Alex was waking up and she was hearing the commotion in the room, "what is everybody talking about, and why am I hooked up to all these beeping machines I have a headache "!

Larry pulls up a chair and sits down besides her, he kissed her forehead and she could feel the tears falling from his face...

Alex : Why are you crying love, am I ( still trying to wake up )

Larry : I just happy you okii, the doctor told us what was wrong ! Baby I just so happy right now "!

Alex : Can someone please tell me what is going on ?

Chanelle walked over to her and said, "your going to be a mommy Alex, your having a baby "!

Alex looked at Chanelle and then Larry, she sat up in the bed shaking her head..

Alex :W ~ what do you mean I'm having a baby? I can't get pregnant Chanelle you know that, oh my God I'm pregnant!

Doctor: Yes Ms. Johnson, 12 weeks a long. Now because of your heart and medical history I want you on bed rest, no extreme activities until your next check up with your OBGYN, I will prescribe you some prenatal tablets and I will get things ready so you can be discharged!

The doctor left the room and Alex was still in shock not believing she was pregnant, by this time mama j and James made their to the hospital and found out where she was ! They walked in the room looking at everyone's face. Larry got up and gave mama j his seat and James stood at the foot of the bed.

James : you feeling alright lil sis? You gave us a scare at the church!

Alex : Yeah, James I'm okii I just can't believe what the doctor said !

Mama J : Did he say something is wrong with your heart ? Is your condition that bad baby girl !

Larry : Non, she going to have my baby ! Alex is having my baby !

Mama J looked at Larry in disbelief, "my baby is having a baby "?

Larry : Oui, she is 12 weeks pregnant with my baby !

Mama J looked at Alex who was looking at her in tears,"mama what am I going to do ? I don't think  I'm ready for this right now. What am I suppose to do right now!

Mama J : Oh baby, you will know what to do when you have that baby, your motherly instincts will kick in. I 'm concerned about your heart and how this pregnancy will effect your health!

Larry : what is wrong with her heart ? Why everybody keep talking about her heart !

Mama J : When Alex was born she had a hole in her heart, the doctors operated on her when she was just a few weeks old ! They told us she probably wouldn't make it after the surgery but God knew best and she made it, but she had to be careful growing up. So when she started modeling I wasn't happy because of the toll it took on her body, when she graduated high school and went to college I was happy because of the career she chose... But now I don't know how she will be able to carry this baby !

Larry stood there listening and looking at Alex while mama j explained her situation, the room was silent when the doctor came back in....

Doctor:  Well Ms. Johnson you can go home, here are your pills and a list of things you can and can't do! Remember you are on bed rest till your doctor says other wise young lady !
