Avenging in July *Editing Before Continuing* [Avengers Fanfiction]

Introduciton

Alex Jackson lost her family and all of her friends and loved ones at the one and only place she thought was safe enough for her to live at the age of fourteen. But now, since her town and camp has been leveled, she has to move on into the mortal world and face the fact that it's all gone. In less than a year after that fateful night, Alex was adopted from a foster home in California by the one and only Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.

Now at the age of sixteen, she lives in the Avengers Tower in New York. Nick Fury had sent Stark back to where the first assembling of the Avengers began. Stark had to create a safe place for the Avengers to live, in case of another attack so it's easier to contact them. Tony ended up rebuilding the demolished Stark Tower. With the Avengers moved into the complex, several others moved in too.

Director Coulson visits Alex in secret every so often to give her information about rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. He still doesn't want any of the Avengers or anyone to know about him being alive, the same about former Director Fury. The Avengers would possibly have a hard time dealing with the fact that Phil was pretty much brought back to life through the T.A.H.I.T.I. Project, and only a few know about some little details.

Almost out of nowhere, temperatures are rising quickly in New York and the Avengers and Co. think they are being targeted. Soon enough, their thoughts are come to a close as a mysterious villain attacks them at their core. It's beginning to get out of hand and the Avengers are searching for options. A multitude of heroes come and go to aid the group.

Not only is this threat an issue, dealing with her past is causing Alex to go to the brink of insanity. Another stupid prophecy, constant visions and confusing signs certainly do not help. But maybe her past can help their current situation.

Everyone can feel the tension in the air as they near the brink of a battle. But with who? Can the Avengers and the others stop the massive threat that lies at their feet? Will S.H.I.E.L.D. still be in pieces as the Avengers gear up? How will Alex be able to get through with all this nonsense and deal with her past?
