"Sometimes when you get disappointment it makes you stronger." -David Rudisha

As I stalk to the door at the opposite end of the hallway, I hear several clicks on the door that means JARVIS is unlocking it for me. "Thanks," I mumble to the British-accented device as I shove the door open and slam it when I enter the next hallway on its other side.

"You're very welcome," JARVIS replies.

"JARVIS," I start to say as I advance towards the elevator at the end of the hallway, "can you please prep the elevator to take me to the first lab floor?"

"Of course," says the intelligence system when I pass the 'truth room.'

Just as I reach the elevator, the door flies open and I step inside to see the first lab floor button already pressed. "Thank you, JARVIS."

"It's quite alright, Miss," JARVIS states politely.

I wait patiently as the elevator comes to a shuddering stop and I say, "JARVIS, please tell Tony to lubricate the wires on the elevator. It seems kind of rusty at the moment." That seems odd to me.

"Already on it, miss," he says.

The doors to the elevator open to see a worried face looking at several tabs on a glass device. I notice that he still hasn't seen me and he's mumbling something about Simmons and not calculating something correctly. I clear my throat politely. He still doesn't move from his current position and he is now frantically swiping his forefinger across the tablet.

"FITZ!" I raise my voice.

"AH! WHAT?" He yells and stumbles back, clutching the glass tablet to his chest. He finally looks at me in horror but it fades away when he realizes who yelled his name. "For God's sake, Alex, where were you? We couldn't... We couldn't..." He taps his head and thinks.

"You couldn't..." I try to jog his memory but I'm not as smart as Simmons.

"No! No!" He waves me off. "Don't help! I got this!" He sighs. "We... We couldn't track your-" He stops, wide eyed, knowing that he shouldn't have said anything to me.

"My what," I ask, "What were you tracking me with? And with who?" I move out of the elevator and towards a now panicked Fitz. He backs up slowly towards the lab doors which just so happen to be right across the hall from the elevator.

As I hear the elevator doors close he stutters, "I-I'm not entirely sure."

"That's bull crap! What did you put on me?" I furrow my brow and cross my arms demanding an answer.

His face gets redder by the second like he's holding his breath. "Jemma injected it!" He cries out as he gasps for breath. "Go ask her!" And with that said, he scurries down the hall to the stairwell.

I must look extremely stupid and perplexed as I stand there with my mouth hanging and my eyes about to pop out of my head. Man, this has taken a strange turn. I calmly collect myself and my new anger only to storm into the lab. Three heads and pairs of eyes look at me as I cross the room. May and Skye look confused and relieved, while Jemma has a horrified look on her face.

"Agent Simmons! You have thirty seconds to explain what you did to me!" I yell across the lab.

"What?" May and Skye ask in unison. They look over to Simmons and she just shrugs her shoulders and leans her back against the lab table, trying to stay calm.

"What exactly are you referring to?" She asks ever so nonchalantly.

"Exactly?" I question harshly. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe I'm referring to something that you injected me with?"
