A/N: This one's really short, but I just loved the idea :)
"Hey, Jarvis?" (Y/N) asked.
"Yes, miss?"
"If I wanted to give you a hug, how would I do that?"
"I was created and implemented in the laboratory. Though it is not physically possible to hug software, I'm sure my computer hardware would suffice." (Y/N) smiled, happy Jarvis was humoring her and had such a high tolerance for her ridiculous questions.
"Thank you!" (Y/N) called out merrily. She went back to her task- reading through the book on bioengineering Tony had- before she had another question.
"Jarvis, if you were human, or at least had a human body, do you think you would be happy?" She asked, crossing her legs on the kitchen stool as she spoke. The AI, as intuitive as it was, was often floored by the random nature of (Y/N)'s questions.
"It would be a new experience, but if I were taught how to properly function in a human form, I'm sure I would be content." Jarvis answered.
"Would we be friends?" (Y/N) asked, seriously curious. If Jarvis could have laughed, he would.
"Are we not already friends, miss (Y/N)?" Her face broke out into the biggest smile.
"You're the best, Jarvis." She declared happily flipping to page 671.
"What am I, chopped liver?" Tony's voice cut into their conversation, and (Y/N) got off the stool to give her boyfriend the usual hug and kiss. He returned both happily.
"You are such a child, (Y/N)," Tony pointed out as he set his briefcase on the table. "I hope you know that I didn't program Jarvis so that he could answer your questions." (Y/N) laughed.
"You're just jealous because being an adult all the time isn't any fun. Jarvis and I could have an intelligent conversation, but I'd rather get to know him." Tony raised an eyebrow, one corner of his mouth upturned as he sat down across from (Y/N) with an apple in hand.
"Oh, yeah?" He questioned, more intrigued than he would have liked to admit.
"Absolutely. Like, just yesterday, Jarvis told me his favorite color was red. And he likes corgis. So he's automatically kind of the best." Tony guffawed, not bothering to hide his amusement.
"Jarvis, you're a corgi fan? Have you ever seen a yorkie?" Tony asked. (Y/N) sat back a little, pleased that Tony had taken interest in less academic conversations.
"Yes, sir," Came the reply, "But (Y/N) told me that she thinks I would have a small dog personality based on prior conversations. Corgis fit that bill and are quite pleasant to look at." Tony shook his head with a smile, leaning back in his chair and looking at his girlfriend.
"I had no idea that Jarvis had a favorite dog." He said, eyes twinkling. (Y/N) shrugged, a happy smile on her face.
"Sometimes, it pays to get a break from being an adult and ask childish questions." She pointed out.
"Leave it to you to teach me stuff about something I made." Tony said, shaking his head in wonder.
