"When you said you wanted to go surfing, (Y/N)," Tony began, struggling to gasp in some air, "This is absolutely not what I had in mind." Looking over at her best friend, (Y/N) grinned.

"Well, I didn't specify for a reason. If I told you-" She stopped, ducking under a lightpost. "If I told you I wanted to surf on the tops of trains, you would have told me it was too dangerous." To prove her point, she let go of the train's roof with one hand and Tony gasped.

"(Y/N)!" He cried, looking panicky. "Hold on to the train!" She simply laughed, complying to his request after a moment.

"Tony, relax." She assured him, yelling over the increasing decibels of the wind. "I do this all the time, and usually, I don't tell anyone." Tony's face went white, and he narrowly avoided getting smacked by a metal sign as he struggled to process what she just said.

"You what?" He asked, immediately pausing to drag in a breath. He hunched over, trying to get some air, and (Y/N) crawled over to him. She grabbed his hand and turned his body so that it was facing where the wind was coming at them.

"Breathe, Tony," She reminded him. "Face the wind and you'll never have trouble breathing."Tony did so, marveling at how (Y/N) managed to stay so calm as they were knelt on the top of a speeding train with no harnesses and nothing to stop them from careening off and dying.

"How... How are you so calm?" Tony asked, still breathless as he tried to pull in air.

"This is freeing!" (Y/N) threw an arm into the air, reveling in the feeling. "How could I not be?" Tony looked st her like she had three heads.

"Well, please do something. I might start panicking..." Tony trailed off, suddenly hyper-aware of his situation. He felt naked without his suit on and, surrounded by (Y/N)'s unwavering confidence, his nervousness spiked.

"You need a distraction. Um..." (Y/N) looked around for a moment, searching for something to completely take his mind off of their speed. She couldn't find anything, so in a wild moment of spontaneity, she wheeled around and kissed Tony. It was magical; both of them flying through the air at top speed on a train, but connected and rooted with each other. It was only a few seconds, but that's all it needed to be. The moment she pulled away, Tony let go of the train with one hand and pulled her close to him.

"(Y/N)..." He began, but trailed off as he looked around. The train was now taking them over a beautifully scenic route. Trees lined every visible space where the road or train tracks weren't, along with more plant life than Tony had ever seen at once. It was breathtaking- Tony's breath left him once more, but for a completely different reason. His fear, his paralyzing anxiety, was replaced by awe. Both for nature and for the nature of the woman beside him.

"Did it work?" (Y/N) asked, but she already knew the answer. They both could not keep their eyes off the scenery, which didn't seem to move so fast now that the city was long behind them, but at the same time struggled to look away from one another. Tony nodded, still lost in the oblivion of the landscape and the jumble of emotions in his mind.

"Conpletely." He replied. Tony pulled her in close again, making the space between them nonexistent as he took the liberty of kissing her again.
