I awoke, not know what had happened previously. How long had I been out? What is today? Am I dead? I look around. Everything is white except the blue sky out the window and the black tv. Thank god I'm still in reality. I suddenly hear the door creak loudly, making me jump a little. The doctor walks in and drops the clipboard and runs out of the room screaming for the doctor. I jump in surprise as papers go flying from the clipboard onto the floor. I hear rushed talking and running in the hallways. I wondered what was happening outside until it all entered my room. The doctor ran up to me and checked my pulse and blood pressure and kept asking me if I was ok and if I felt dehydrated or hungry. They looked shocked when I seemed to answer normally and quickly. I finally asked what was going on. The doctor gave me an explanation that shook me to the bone. He had told me that I had been in a coma for about a month and that last night the person who brought me in here and the doctors thought I wouldn't make it so they pulled the plug. I've been dead for almost 24 hours. Why am I alive. HOW AM I ALIVE. They wheeled me out into the medical examination room and checked me out for hours. They took me back to my room finally and I feel asleep. I hear a knock on the door that wakes me up from my slumber. I hear that same familiar door crack. The same familiar foot steps. What surprised me next was I heard a very familiar voice. I sat up from the bed and tried to look past the curtain but I failed to no avail so I laid back down. I let out a big sigh. I waited but the person who had come into the room must've been gone by now. Oh well. I kept thinking about who could've entered the room until they popped out from behind the curtain and hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe. They finally let go and I took a big breathe, then I realized who it was. Holy. Shit balls. It was Hunter. I looked into his blue eyes, his filled with excitement while mine filled with confusion. Why is he here? How did he know I was in the Hospital? Why does he look so happy to see me? I asked him question after question. He answered them all. "Why are you here?" "To see you obviously." "Do you know why I'm here?" "Dog attack. Pretty serious." I stuck out my leg and realized the bondage all over it and then I realized my arm to. "Who brought me here?" "How did I get here?" "How am I not dead!?" "Well the thing is, is that I saved you, you're alive because of me." "Why'd you save me?" "Well I've only known you for a short time but I think I'm in love with you, I'm just as confused as you are but I feel like I have to protect you at all cost." I stare at him blankly as he smiles that half smirk smile of his. Same one from the coffee shop. I looked at him baffled at the words he had spoken. I stuttered, trying to find the words to form into sentences. He put his finger over my mouth to make me hush. Then he grabbed a chair pulled it up next to the bed grabbed my hand, layer his head on the side of the bed, and we both passed out together. It was 3:39 in the morning after all.
