Shampoo/Conditioner/Toothpaste
Shampoo
1. Mix 1 tbsp of baking soda into 250 ml of warm water
2. Stir until dissolved and then pour over wet hair
3. Massage into your scalp and rinse well
Conditioner
1. Dilute 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice into 250 ml into warm water
2. Pour over washed hair
3. Leave to set for a few minutes and then rinse
Natural Whitening Toothpaste
Requires: 1/4 cup calcium carbonate powder, 3 tbsp xylitol powder, 1/4 cup MCT oil, essential oils of choice (optional)
1. Make sure the xylitol is finely ground and not coarse
2. Mix all ingredients by hand or with a blender until incorporated
3. Store in a glass jar and use as you would regular toothpaste
Sprays/Serums/Etc.
Rosewater
Requires: Organic roses (as many as you like)(7 stems), Distilled water (enough to cover the rose petals)(1.5 liters)
1. Remove petals from stems and run them under luke-warm water to remove any leftover residue.
2. Add petals to a large pot and top with enough distilled water to just cover (no more or you'll dilute your rosewater).
3. Over medium-low heat bring the water to a simmer and cover.
4. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes or until petals have lost their color and are a pale pink.
5. Strain the mixture to separate the petals from the water.
6. Discard petals and place water in a glass jar to store.
Eyelash Growth Serum
Requires: 1/2 tsp vitamin E oil, 1/2 tsp argan oil, 1/2 tbsp almond oil, 1 tbsp castor oil, an old mascara tube and wand
1. Wash out old mascara tube and wand
2. Mix ingredients in a small bowl then pout into the mascara tube
3. Apply daily (can also be applied to brows)
Toner
Requires: 150 ml water, 50 ml apple cider vinegar, few drops of tea tree oil
1. Mix ingredients together and place in a cooled temperature environment to preserve
Salt Detox Bath
Requires: 1/4 cup sea salt or Himalayan salt, 1/4 cup Epsom salt, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar, favorite essential oils (optional)
1. Dissolve salt, Epsom salt, and baking soda in boiling water in a quart size jar and set aside. Fill a tub with warm/hot water and add apple cider vinegar. Pour salt mixture in and add essential oils if using
2.Soak in bath for 30 minutes or as long as desired. Note that with any detox bath, you may feel tired or lightheaded when you get out. I don't recommend doing this while home alone or before going somewhere in case you are tired or need help
