" You should've been thinking " Zae said quietly while shaking her head

" I was... it seemed like a good plan to me- " Sammy started but Zae cut him off

My eyes widen and I turned looking at Jr and J'liyah as they were peacefully asleep

" Because! You basically left me fucking stranded with your 3 kids Sammy! I had to deal with the bullshit of getting yelled at by my own kids! Not you! I was the one who had to hold them when they cried at night! I was the one stopping them from trying to hurt themselves! " she said as her voice cracked

I looked back at them and Sammy had his head down looking at his lap

" I struggled with taking care of them... They were slowly starting to get attached to Kira and Lucas! How do you think it felt to see my kids happy with another family when I'm trying my absolute hardest to provide for them by keeping a roof over their head , Clothes on they back , and food in they stomachs?! " she yelled

" Zae... " Lucas said

" Zae Nothing! " she yelled at him while looking at him

Tears was streaming down her face and I instantly felt guilty... I wasn't trying to take her kids from her because I know their all she had left...

I hope I never have to experience nothing like this.... Just the thought of losing Lucas haunts me.

" I thought you said it was me and you Samuel?... We used to tell each other everything back in middle school " she said

" Well this isn't middle school anymore we grew up " Sammy said nonchalantly while looking up at her

Before I knew it her hand went across his face and she stood up walking off to the back quickly

I got up and followed her

She was about to close the bedroom door but I caught her just in time

" Wait " I said

She looked at me and pulled me inside

Laying on the bed she started sobbing

I went over to her and laid next to her as I pulled her into a hug

Jr and J'liyah often say my hugs are their medicine because I make them feel better

In this case I think they trick got to me and I kinda zoned out thinking of Zae as one of them because it hurted just as much as if it were them crying

She sobbed as I rubbed her back

A few seconds later I heard her crying going down

Soon it got quiet

Looking down at her she was peacefully asleep

I guess it worked...

Since I was being harassed pretty much everywhere about this damn chapter.
