"5...17...29...37...46. " Julian counts and Jordan is biting his nails off in anticipation and I am tired but can go on.
So we are in the park near my house where I am doing pushups to show some people that I am not a weakling.
"50!!"Katie shouts and starts jumping and hugs me tight. Yep, I just did 50 pushups as per the deal.
Brandon stands a few feet away eyeing me and I think I just saw the slightest smile. Just a twitch.
Ya that's right you dipshit I just did 50 pushups and I hope that shuts your mouth.
I walk up to him my head held up high and I say "who's a weakling now?? Why don't you try to do it?"
"Okay okay you win and welcome to the group." he says smiling lightly.
"What?? That's it? Change of plans. You are going to give us all an Ice cream treat and we aren't taking a no for an answer." Katie exclaims and walks off.
We all agree, of course, except Brandon. But he comes anyway.
Me and Katie ride on my baby and the guys have their own rides.
The Radcliff brothers have their own car and Brandon owns a black bike.
It's super cool and it's......boyish.
But nothing can beat my baby.
We soon pull up near an Icecream parlor nearest to the park and it is beautiful.
We walk into the parlor and Brandon's phone starts ringing. We all start ordering and Brandon is out taking his call.
Katie buys a chocolate chip Ice cream, Jordan an Ice Cream sandwich, Julian a butterscotch cone and I get cookie dough.
I turn around to see Brandon with cookie dough too. I scowl at him and look at his ice cream and then back at mine. He catches my eye and smiles teasingly.
Who knew this guy who seems like he despises you and looks as if he is gonna castrate you would and could smile at you.
I think my heart fluttered a little at that warm smile.
That monster!
We all chat a little bit but Brandon stays quiet the whole time and it's time to go home now. We all finish up and say our goodbyes and head home.

I park my baby and get in to find the drawing-room dark.
I find Dax watching a movie and I also join him.
"How was your day Honey Bear?" Dax asks with his eyes glued to the screen.
"It was awesome... I showed a guy his place and made some new friends."I say digging some popcorn out of his bowl.
"Wow, that is a new accomplishment...who are these people?" Dax asks looking at me for a second and then turns his head back to the screen.
"A new group of boys and a girl came our school and.." by the time I say this Dax is completely facing me "this guy wouldn't allow me to be in their group and challenged me to do 50 pushups and when I did I was in the group and we had ice cream and stuff and we became friends instantly".I say.
Yeah, too instantly though..it's like they knew me for ages. But that's not possible.
I wave off the thought and look at Dax.
"Wh...what is his name?." he asks with seriousness laced in his tone.
"Umm Brandon... Brandon McKnight" I say.
"WHAT ??!!...umm I mean that's great news..you are finally making friends." Dax says shouting weirdly and I see a lot of different emotions running in his eyes.
