Chapter 2: Good News

Jade's POV

After Julian left, I dialed Nicole's phone number and surprisingly, she answered immediately. "Hey, Nics. Guess who got promoted?" I said happily. "No way. Congratulations!!! You have to treat me to a nice meal." She said as we both squealed.

Jade: I will. Oh, see you in London!

Nicole: wait, you're coming.

Jade: well, I was promoted then they gave me a very nice job that any studio could contact me all around the world to take photos of VIPs. London is my first stop. I'll be taking photos of celebrities but I actually don't know then yet.

Nicole: *squealing* no way! I can't wait to tell them-

Jade: you're not telling the guys anything. This is between you and me. I'm gonna hang out with you but I won't hang out with the guys, ok?

Nicole: aww, too bad. But of course I understand, I mean Calum doesn't even want to talk about his past anymore.

Jade: So do I. Now, my flight is on Monday afternoon. So, wait for me ok? I'll call you so you can pick me up. I might get lost there.

Nicole: sure :) oh no! Michael's coming. I gotta go.

Jade: yeah sure :) see ya :)

I hung up and smiled to myself. I screamed on my pillow. I just can't believe that I get to work on different places on earth. I drove myself to sleep 'cause I have a lot to do for my flight on Monday.

Calum's POV

Why is Nicole screaming while talking someone on the phone? She might as well heard some good news I suppose but whatever. Didn't I mention that I developed small feelings for Nia but I just played it cool. I'm not really in the mood to date. So, yeah... Nia and I are still friends. She wasn't flirting anymore which I found a little interesting. She played it cool... maybe she doesn't like me anymore but that's impossible I mean look at me. We had a leaked photo that was taken by a random person. So we're here at our hotel with Hey Violet and Nicole. We were having a little toast because of the launch of Want You Back and the good news of releasing the new album soon.

Nia was strong with alcohol. She kept on drinking and he never felt drunk. I wasn't in the mood to drink so I just drank 2 cans of beer since I might do something stupid ... again... don't make me bring that memory back. A little while later, Nia went to the bathroom. I went to get a glass of water and I saw her puking her guts out.

I immediately ran to her and rubbed her back. "You better stop drinking. Don't take it too far." I said still rubbing her back while she was puking. "I'm ok, Cal... I'm doing this on purpose so I won't get drunk." she said before gargling water and wiping her mouth with a napkin. "I'm sorry about that." She says to me and I just smiled at her. "Seriously, stop drinking." I said letting out a little chuckle. "No way. What about you? You're not drinking that much tonight which is so unusual. You're missing out all the fun." She says laughing it out which I found attractive. "Nothing. I'm just not in the mood to drink that much but it was fun watching you guys getting drunk and doing stupid stuff." I said laughing and she slapped my shoulder playfully. "Hey, I'm not one of them, right?" She says and I just shook my head no. "Of course not." I said smiling and here we go again..

*Max barking and pulling Calum's shirt.*

"Isn't it a little weird for you to still keep Jade's dog?" Nia said while running her hand through Max's golden brown fur and then he stayed put when I got separated from her. Geez this dog. "No. Not at all. I came to love this dog and I'm never gonna leave him. Besides, I love dogs so what makes him different. I mean he is quite different because he was once owned by the woman I fell in love with. Duke is pretty differet too since I watched him grow since he was a baby, I was taking care of him but now Mali has him for now ... how's edgar(Nia's dog)?" I asked her and we both began rubbing Max's together and he started barking again so I just let Nia do it all alone. Nia laughed it off.

"Edgar's fine. He eats a lot which makes him fat." She says... she stood up. "We should join the others." She says as she went on with the others as I stayed there for a little while. I squated and patted Max's head. "You're embarrasing me. Stop barking when I'm talking to her." I whispered to the golden retriever and he barked once again like he was protesting. "Ugh!" I said giving up. He'll never change. I miss you, Duke. You never barked at me when I talk to girls.... Jade's dog is really difficult. "You're like your owner, you know that, boy? Being difficult and hard to get." I said to Max which was staring at me. "Don't give me that look." I said to him... geez dogs can annoy you at some point. I stood up and went to the others and he barked at me three times causing me to look at him. "Stay." i said as he did what I say.

Nicole's POV

There's no way Calum and Nia would date. Nia is the reason why Jade and Cal broke up. I just took a couple shots until my eyes landed on Calum who was talking to Jade's dog...

That's right... he's been taking care of Max since they broke up. I don't get why Jade forgot about her own dog.

But yeah, maybe she forgot ahout Max that days since the pain was too much. I find Calum and Max's relationship quite cute. I wish Jade could see this. It's like their child. Me and Mikey also have a dog. And we treat him like our own baby lols. Somehow, I wish Jade and Calum would still end up being together and there is this weird part of me that knows that they'll be together again soon.

I'm not gonna do anything for them to meet. I'll let fate do its job. I know that they're gonna meet here in London without anyone's help.
