Her eyes watched as man after man walked by, as woman after woman sneered down upon her and her sister. She looked down at the small frame of their younger sibling curled into her not much larger frame for warmth. Unfortunately, it was becoming colder and colder within the upcoming months, and their ragged clothes barely covered them anymore.

An elder had passed one day with her bag of groceries, and saw the two. Apologising profusely at the fact she couldn't afford to take the two under her wing and feed them. But she had left them with a smaller bag of food and a knitted blanket.

She remembered that moment as if it was mere seconds ago, however it was during summer that this had occurred.

"I'm so sorry, I can barely afford to feed myself or I would've taken you in." The old woman barely lent down. "However, I have this for you." She put a bag down in front of their shoe-less feet.

"Thank you!" She smiled happily, bowing her head as her sister followed suit.

She fumbled with the carrier bag and pulled out the blanket, wrapping it around her younger sister who frowned.

"You'll get cold-" She spoke quietly.

"Don't worry about me." There was a small pause. "I'll be okay, you keep nice and warm for the both of us, okay?"

She noticed a few children around her age of fourteen across the street at a cafe, dancing along to the music coming from the speakers. She watched as businessmen and women stopped to watch, as did casual shoppers-

A small flame of hope filled her heart.

Maybe she could provide her little sister with clothes and a meal to eat and a proper bed-

But first, she'd have to learn how to dance.
