DeThe girls sat backstage as the boys performed. They could see it from a small TV screen, and if they managed to sneak close enough they could see it from the wings of the stage. They saw the girls and people who had came to watch and they were happy.
"You're smiling." Eden commented, looking up at her elder sister. Delaney's smile dropped instantly. She refused to give in to the world, she wouldn't think of everything as sunshine and rainbows...
Eden sighed softly, hugging Delaney softly. "We could be worse off... we could be still on the streets... but we're not. We're with people who will care for us..."
Delaney sighed looking down at Eden. It should be the other way around... Delaney should be comforting Eden- But then again, Eden was always the stronger one of the two. Delaney had the maternal attitude towards her sister, always vowing that whatever she did she would get Eden to a better place. Somewhere nice and warm- But Eden was the one that continued to keep Delaney going.
Delaney's arms wrapped around Eden as they watched the boys, their boys, sing and dance their heart and soul out on stage. One of the boys, always, kept an eye on the two as the staff ran around them as if they weren't even there.
Jungkook sent a smile, Jimin waved, Seokjin sent finger hearts-
In that moment, right there, Delaney smiled. A proper, genuine smile.
These boys could've kept their focus on their fans 100% and not even had looked in the girls direction, but occasionally they would look over, make sure they were okay and gave them some sort of acknowledgement before resuming with their performance.
"They're like big Brothers, right?" Eden grinned. "Like the family we wished we had." Delaney hesitated before nodding.
"You're all the family I'd ever need and wanted, but these boys came into our lives and show that they care." Delaney smiled softly, kissing the top of her sisters head. "I think from here on out it's going to get more hectic."
Eden grinned. "With the way they're acting, and how childish they can become and how childish we can become? Yes, it's definitely going to get more hectic."
