With my bag in hand, I started walking around the house. It was exactly what I expected, yet at the same time, it wasn't. The color scheme was red. There were red sofas and chairs and the walls were painted different shades of the color. It was the colour of Youtube, of course.
I knew I couldn't waste time, though. I had to find the room that I wanted as soon as possible. I took the first hallway I found and started walking down it, noticing that there were only five doors. What? Wasn't there supposed to be a room for each person?
I turned one of the doorknobs and opened it. Inside, I found a large king sized bed with two night stands. Other than that, it was empty. I quickly exited the room, deciding to check the other ones to see if they were all the same. I wasn't too surprised to discover that they were. What were they planning? Why did they want us to share rooms? The answer was obvious, but I didn't want to accept it. They wanted drama, and they were planning on getting it no matter what.
Suddenly, there was a sound. Was that another contestant. I set my bag down on the bed of the room I was in and quickly ran to the main room to find the second contestant. Jenna Marbles.
"Jenna?" I exclaimed, running over towards her.
"NO FUCKING WAY!" she exclaimed, pulling me into a hug. "Troye I missed you so much! I was so upset we didn't have time to hang out at Vidcon!"
"Same!" I said back, with the same enthusiasm in my voice as hers.
"Of course it had to be you," she said, bowing her head. "The adorkable Troye Sivan."
"Yeah, agreed," I said back, doing the same. "Well, you should probably find a room to stay in," I said after a moment. "There's only five of them, which means that we'll probably be sharing with one other person."
Her eyes sparkled. "Can I share with you?" she asked.
"Yes, of course." I couldn't share a room with Tyler. That would be giving the producers exactly what they wanted, and I refused to do that. I grabbed her hand and lead her to the hallway and then to our room. "Here we are!"
The same noise came from the main room.
"Now, that would mean another contestant has arrived," I exclaimed, hurrying off to the main room. Jenna followed eagerly.
There, standing in the doorway, was Shane Dawson. This so far had to be the strangest group of Youtubers I had ever seen! "JENNA MARBLES?" Shane screamed, rushing over to her. He was totally fangirling.
"SHANE!" she screamed back. "Unfortunately, we still won't be able to get that selfie." She pouted. There was another noise and the next contestant entered. They were really throwing them all in now.
"Go show Shane the rooms. I'll greet the other contestants."
Jenna nodded and started leading him towards the hallway when Lisa Schwartz popped into the room. "Wow," was all I could say. So now we had a couple in the house.
She saw Shane and immediately walked over to him, conversing with him and Jenna, and completely ignoring me. She was going to have to be the first one to go.
I turned my attention back to the door, knowing that the next contestant would walk through it any second. I was right. The door made the sound, and then the one and only Tyler Oakley walked through it. My mouth fell open. "Tyler," I said, giving him a small nod. He was blushing like crazy.
"Troye, so nice to see you," he replied once he had finally taken in his surroundings.
He looked so good. His hair was still mint, and even though I wouldn't dare admit it, I liked that colour more than lavender on him. I know, it might seem shocking, but it really suited him. It was cute. He was cute. Shit. I couldn't think like this, especially since hundreds of thousands of people were watching me at that very moment. Stress. I felt so stressed, and I could feel a thin layer of sweat covering my body.
Realizing I had gotten lost in my thoughts, I quickly snapped to attention. "I'll show you the rooms." He agreed, but before I could even turn around, the next contestant walked through the doorway. Hannah Hart.
Tyler embraced her and I did the same, Jenna, Shane, and Lisa still lost in their own little world. One thing was for sure: the three of them had probably already formed an alliance, and I didn't want to share a room with somebody who I didn't trust. As much as I loved Jenna, and I truly did, but I knew that she would try to manipulate information out of me to use against me.
"Jenna," I said, walking over to her. "Would you mind, if I uh, changed roommates?"
"Of course it would be. Who are you going to room with now?"
The sweat from before returned. I didn't think this far. Who else was I supposed to room with?
"Me," a sweet voice said from behind me. I whipped my head around to see that it was Tyler.
What the fuck? Did he want to make this even more obvious?
A small, knowing smile stretched across Jenna's face. "Yeah, that's totally fine. Let me just grab my bag from the room."
By time that exchange was over, all of the contestants had entered the house. I had missed Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Connor Franta and Joey Graceffa's big entrances. This was not off to a good start.
"HI!"I said, walking over to them, trying to make up for lost time. "So great to see you all. We were all just moving into our rooms, let's go."
We walked down the hallway in a single file line with me in front. Was I turning out to be the leader of the house? That seemed rather unlikely and dangerous. I didn't want to seem too powerful.
They other eight gathered in a clump, dividing into pairs. I grabbed Tyler's hand, ushered him into our room, and slammed the door shut.
There were so many words I wanted to say to him. I wanted to ask him why he'd want to make our growing relationship so obvious. I wanted to ask him if he was okay with what was going on. I wanted to ask him if he was really that into me, but I couldn't. I couldn't ask him any of those questions, because if I did, everything would be ruined. Everyone would know everything. This game, this project, was going to ruin my life. I wish I had backed out when it wasn't too late, but it was, and there was no point in wishing for something that couldn't happen.
Instead, we just stared at each other, attempting to communicate with our eyes. There was one thing I knew for sure, though: I was going to try to get out of this competition as quickly as I could. There was no way that Jack was going to tear Troyler down, especially when it hadn't been built up all the way yet.
A/N
So, yeah. That was uhhh... bad. The full list of contestants is: Tyler, Troye, Joey, Connor, Shane, Mamrie, Grace, Hannah, Jenna and Lisa.
I'm not really sure why I chose them. Probably just because of ship controversies. And just saying, I love every single one of these people with all of my heart and if I make them look bad in this, it's just for the storyline, so I apologize sincerely.
Please comment if you're actually reading this because it honestly makes my day so amazing. THanks. BYE! :)
