APHRODITE ORIS

"Ma." Tawag ko kay mama.

Well. It's my first day in my new school. I told mom that I like homeschool so let it be. But she insisted sabi niya its time to go back to school after two years of homeschooling.

I respect what mom said, at first sabi ko hindi ko pa talaga kaya but for mom and for the sake of her happiness, I'll do it.

"What's the matter anak? Hindi mo ba gustong pumasok sa school?" she said with a sad tone and a sad face.

"No mom..Attending school is great and I'm excited what it looks like.!" That was a big lie. I pretended to be excited  and a smile plasttered in her face.

"Ok. Let's go or magiging late ka na sa school." She said heading to our car. I left there standing in a thought na ' Sana totoong masaya ka nalang ma, na totoo ang mga ngiti sa labi mo' but that will never gonna happened.

Natauhan lang ako ng the car make a beep sound kaya nagmadali ako at sumakay na sa kotse. We' re heading to my school now.

"Proud na proud siguro sayo si A-" I cut whatever mom's gonna say.

"Mom, Please lets not talk  about her." Huwag muna siguro ngayon I think hindi pa ako handang pag-usapan siya.

Aphrodite Oris that's my name. I'm sixteen years old, a high school student. Mom is all I have right now. Actually I have a twin sister, Athena.

We're totally different parang iisa lang kami ng hulmahan pero magkaiba ang laman. Athena is makulit, masayahin at masipag. she love to help  people around her kilala niya man ito o hindi.

Ako? I beat people up, kahit na mas malaki sila sakin.And I don't care kung mas malaki man sila sakin dahil strenght doesn't measure on how big you are. Mom even called by the school dahil sinuntok ko yung kaklase kong lalaking binubully ako,that gives him a blackeye. Mom scolded me that time. Yup. I'm the blacksheep in the family. I do what i want to do and I dont ever listen to my parents before. madalas kaming dalawang icompare na magaling si Athena kesyo hindi nalang daw ako gumaya sa kanya.

But I can't that's not me.

When I was thirteen I was recruited na sumali sa no.1 gang in town that time, the Virgo dahil nga bata pa ako noon at hindi pa masyadong nagiisip, I did, sumali ako sa kanila, they trained us dahil sabi nila we are like assasins that kill the bad guys.

Pumupuslit ako sa school at sa bahay para lang makapagtraining. The skippings was worth it I was the no. 1 trainie, not so long enough ginawa ako ng leader namin na kanan niyang kamay.

All of us high ranks ay may mga tattoo sa batok namin, I was so happy, I am proud of myself not until sinama nila ako sa isa nilang mission.

There I witness kung pano nila pinatay si papa they said he is a druglord and I don't believe them. A tear fall from my eyes. Papa is just a bussinessman that owns a big company. Gusto ko silang lahat patayin pero hindi ko yun nagawa. Hindi ko magawa.

Umalis ako sa grupong yun but the tattoo at the back of my neck didn't vanish its still there that means I'm still one of them.

Several weeks matapos akong umalis doon, mom called me that Aphrodite is dead she said she committed suicide. I was really devastated, like I'm gonna torn down inyo pieces.I know she did not. I found a star pendant sa mesa ng kwarto nya. Mom said it belongs to hers. Until now I treasure it the most dahil ito nalang ang isang bagay na meron siya sakin kaya palagi ko itong sinusuot.

That last two years until now sinisisi ko parin ang sarili ko kung bakit nawala ang mga mahal ko sa buhay.

All because of me. Because of me they're gone. I'm a stupid useless thing.

"Athena, we're here." Natauhan ako ng tawagin ako ni Mama.

We stop at a tall black gate. Students were entering the gate.

"Bye Ma." I said goodbye to her.

"Bye." She reply back with a smile.

Well, this is it.

I wave my hand at Mama until I cannot see the car anymore. Papasok na ako sa academy, may iilan rin akong kasabay na mga estudyante.

"Oohh! It's the new girl." Sabi ng lalaki na blonde. Sabay tawa niya at ng tatlong lalaking kasama niya. I calm myself at hindi nalang sila pinansin baka kasi masuntok ko to. 

I feel eyes on me. There this two girls na kung makatingin parang papatayin ako. I mentally roll my eyes.

This is gonna be a worst day. I thought.

Nagpatuloy nalang ako sa paglalakad heading to the secretary office to get my schedule. But someone bump on me and worst natapunan pa ako ng iniinum niya. Aaahhh!! I mentally scream.

"Oops..sorry my fault." She apologize. I look up to see who she is and it is the two girls kanina sa gate. They giggles.

"Its totally your fault kasi sinadya mo." I said with a deadly tone and piercing my eyes into her soul. Kung wala lang talaga tayo sa school grounds, papatayin ko talaga kayo.

"Whatever b*tch!...ohhh and you look good in that uniform.. hahahaha!." She said laughing and walk away with her pet behind her. May tamang oras rin kayong dalawa sakin.

Kung hindi ko lang mahal si mama I will never return to school. People here sucks.

I finally got my schedule at papaunta na ako ngayon sa First subject ko which is Math and is in room 54. There is the room I'm looking for.

I step inside and all eyes inside the room is on me. I gave my schedule to my adviser ( I think) who is lately writing something on the blackboard.

"You might be the new student, You are late but I forgive you this time. I'm Steve Parkins your adviser." Mr. Parkins introduced. I think he is in mid fourties.

"And because your new, please introduce yourself." He stated. I nod ganito naman palagi kahit saan ka man pumasok na paaralan.

"I'm Aphrodite Oris." I stated my name.

"Okay..Miss Oris please sit at the vacant table." He said at itinuro yung bakanteng upuan sa 2nd row malapit sa bintana.

I walk to the table na tinuro niya. I look at the people inside the room. I think were just twenty-five.There's aguy grinning at me. This is trouble. Classmate ko yung lalaking blonde kanina sa gate and worst sa likuran ko pa siya umuupo.

I peacefully sit at my chair not knowing kung ano ang gagawin ng lalaking to.

Aaagghh!! This is hell.

For the past 25 minutes they were looking at me curiously kasi hindi ako mapakali sa upuan ko dahil sinisipa ito ng lalaking nasa likuran ko.

I'm fed up.

That's it . Now you are dead.
