After breakfast, I walked over to my friend Megan's house: a brand new bruise had been formed beforehand on my hip, courtesy of my father. I wore a plain grey outfit (below) and my medium brown hair was in a ponytail, secured with a black hair tie.

(You can picture Taylor in any clothes, with any hairstyle or looking different or as a different actress entirely, this is just how I see her)

I walked across the hard cement path that lay in between all of the plain, square grey houses we Abnegations called home. I approached Megan's house and rang the doorbell: a faint ring was heard. Megan's mother opened the door,

"Good morning, Mrs Ennis. I was just ringing to come and collect Megan for school." I said.

"Good morning Taylor. She will be down in a minute, would you like to come inside and wait?"

"That would be lovely, thank you, Mrs Ennis."

I walked into Megan's home; her family's kitchen was almost identical to mine but they had a larger dining table as there were more family members. I politely took a seat on their plain grey couch and waited. Megan's brother Joe walked down the stairs not too long after I had sat down. He was 18 and had already gone through his aptitude test. He had chosen to stay in Abnegation and I was not surprised he had. He was the most selfless being and was always helping the factionless.

I was never going to be as selfless as him. There was more than one reason I wanted to get out of Abnegation. I was naturally adventurous and a brave person and so I knew that I would never fit in Abnegation no matter how hard I tried.

"Mother, I'm coming," shouted Megan from upstairs. She ran down the stairs, in the process of putting her hair in a braid, her grey dress swinging wildly.

"And about time too. You are cutting it very close Megan," said her mother.

"I'm sorry mother, I just lost track of time," explained Megan apologetically.

"Come on Megan, we need to go or we'll be late for our aptitude tests," I said to Megan, reminding her of today's events.

She and I said goodbye to her family and walked along the road.

"You nervous?" I asked her. She nodded.

"I don't know what it's going to be like, of course, I'm scared!" she replied hastily. "What about you, Meg?"

"I'm not really too nervous, I mean, they always tell us to trust the test so that's what I'll do," I answered honestly.

The rest of our walk was filled with talking about factions and what we think the test might be.

"I'd be so disappointed if it was literally just a paper with questions," said Megan. We both laughed.

Finally, we reached the school and went to the entrance. I had my usual lessons in the morning as the tests would be taking place from lunch onwards. I had Gym, Faction History and a free period I spent in the Gym with the combat teacher. If I wanted to be Dauntless, I had to have some combat skills.

"Well done Taylor! Your skill is really improving, both hand-to-hand and weapons," said Arthur, our combat teacher.

"Thank you, sir," I said politely. I walked back to the locker room and had a cold shower to prevent my joints from seizing up. I changed back into my clothes and made my way towards the cafeteria. Grabbing a tray, I walked up to the counter and got a sandwich, an apple and a protein bar.

Turning to walk to Megan and I's table, my body hit someone.

"Move, Stiff," said the voice of the person I'd hit.

"Sorry," I said, filled with attitude and I turned on my heel and walked over to Megan. Sitting down across from her, I bit into my sandwich.

"What's his problem?" asked Megan. She had seen the whole thing unfold.

"I have no idea," I answered. Friggin' Candor and their smart mouths.

Once I had finished my food, I disposed of my tray and sat back down with Megan. We chatted for a while until 6 more names were called.

"Aimee Delacroix, Matthew Dewer, Jo Donovan, Anthony Dooley, Taylor Eaton, Megan Ennis."

OOOOOOOH cliffhanger my duudes. The test will be based off the book so none of these 20 million mirrors stuff.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING <3

QOTC: What faction are you?

QOTC = Question Of The Chapter

(BTW I know no one will get this but who gets my Delacroix cameo from a Teen wolf fanfic called 'Hexes and Hearts'?? It's soooo good!!)
