"Can I help you?" The judge asked looking extremely annoyed at the interruption. "I'm Samuel Wilkens." Sam said looking anywhere but JP. "The alleged father of Mrs. Kinder's unborn child?" The judge asked looking at him.

"Um, Yeah I guess." Sam said confused. "My client wishes to call Samuel Wilkens to the stand before you make your final decision." Romeos lawyer spoke. The judge sighed, "Make it quick" she said.

Sam walked up and sat down as Romeo's lawyer stood in front of him and JP started looking whiter and whiter. "Mr. Wilkens, is it true that My clients wife and you have been romantically involved?" "No, JP is my best friend. That's all I am." Sam stated. Shit this isn't going to be good. "Then how is Mrs. Kinder pregnant with your child?" "She's not." He said as he looked at JP apologetically begging her with his eyes to understand.

JP gasped and closed her eyes knowing what was coming next. "Then who is the father of her unborn child?" he asked with a small smile. "Romeo." Sam said quietly. "And the day of the incident Mr. Kinder didn't just walk away, he walked away thinking his wife was dead because that's what you lead him to believe, correct?" the lawyer asked, "Yes" Sam said his head down looking ashamed of himself. JP was crying silently her eyes not leaving Sam. "And did you make an attempt to let him know the truth?" he asked his smile getting bigger by the second. Sam sighed and shook his head, "No, we had a fight, he punched me and I was mad." He said grimacing.

"Is it true that your in love with my clients wife?" he asked, Sam sighed and nodded. "Yes, but she only sees him. She can sit here and deny that she loves him all she wants, but she does love him. I sat there night after night hearing her whisper his name. watching her cry over him. She's very stubborn." He said as he smiled affectionately at her. "Thank you Mr. Wilkens. That's all your honour." Romeos lawyer said as he walked over to Romeo.

Sam stepped down as the judge thought for a few minutes. Romeo kept looking at JP, I think he was trying to catch her eye to make sure she was ok. JP looked bad and I was starting to get worried. "I don't see divorce as the right option. Mr. Kinder clearly still loves his wife and Mrs. Kinder is still in denial. I want you to try counselling. Your next hearing will be in two months and if things still aren't better I'll give you the divorce." She said as she slammed her gavel and left.

JP sat down and didn't move. I got up to make sure she was okay. "Shit, JP." I heard Sam say as he got to her before me. "What's wrong?" Romeo said as he came over. "She passed out again." Sam said as he attempted to pick her up but Romeo moved him out the way and picked her up. "Bri, I'm taking her to the hospital." He said to me as he walked out carrying her. "Come on Sam, I'm sure when she comes to, she's going to kill you." I said grimacing slightly, I walked out to JPs car as Sam followed.

JPs POV:

I felt as if I was being carried. I snuggled deeper into the persons chest feeling complete. I didn't open my eyes, I couldn't they were so heavy. "JP?" I heard a voice call as the ran a hand over my cheek. "Come on baby, open your eyes." I opened my eyes and focused my vision on Romeo. He smiled at me and pulled me to him. "Let go of me please." I tried to push but I was so weak. "Nope." He said shaking his head. "Please Romeo, let me go." I begged.

"No, look JP what happened in the past is the past. I love you, I mean that with everything in me. YOU are my life. Please just listen to me and stop trying to fight me." He begged as he looked at me.
