flashback

She closed her eyes as she felt the painful impact of a slap on her face. Then, another slap flew across her face only to be followed by countless others. Her face was bright red as the blood rose to her surface in pain and her tears were trickling down her face.

"you slut."

Another punch flew towards her abdomen as she winced in pain. Her hands were holding on to her torso which was turning a shade of a blue hue, only to lose her balance as she was pushed onto the floor again.

Her books were scattered all over the empty classroom as the two figures hovered above her. She shakily pushed her hands off the ground to get off the floor, only to be kicked in the gut again, causing her to jump from the pain and fall right down. Her body was covered in bruises and blood was trickling down her arms.

"I warned you, Min Areum. Stay away from my oppas."

The venomous hiss ehoed into her ears as she screamed when her body was being pulled up by her hair. Her attackers grabbing her by her loose ponytail as they flung her back onto the ground. They laughed, their cackles filling the classroom, overpowering her poor sobs.

She folded her hands, wrapping her arms around her body as she sobbed. The sounds of laughter drifting away as the footsteps distanced themselves from her. She was alone now. Alone, in the secluded classroom, on the cold floor, sobbing.

As she slowly drowned in her tears, a gleam of light popped out. She turned to see a notification on her phone screen which had flickered on. With shivering hands, she wiped off her tears and opened the notification.

It was a text. From Mark.

She clicked the button on the side of her phone and the light flickered off, leaving the room back into its dark state. She wrapped her hands around her legs as she hugged her body in her arms. She sat there, on the floor, and she cried.

She sobbed.

She wailed.

but no one heard her.
