The grass below her tickled her thighs as it brushed against her skin in the midnight wind. She lay there, underneath the sky of a million stars, with no one but the sounds of the breeze for comfort.

"you're just a hindrance."

The words circled in her head in a never ending spiral. That one sentence would blast her train of thought into a different dimension. She was in her own world. A world where she felt solitude, adrift, a feeble speck in the blank canvas she was lost in.

his eyes, his smile, his laugh.

Her mind was clouded with bittersweet images of him. She could not get him out of her head. Even the little things around her would bring up images and memories of the love they once had, the love she could not run back to,

the love she had to let go.
