Chapter 27
I Miss You
Falco

It's been three weeks. Three agonizingly long and slow weeks. Belle had showed not a single sign of waking up and no could even get near her without getting blasted away. It was her defense mechanism.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, "I caused this mess." I said as I looked myself in the mirror. I was paler than usual due to me not having hunted in these 3 weeks and my eyes had turned darker.

I caused everything to go wrong. Stupid me. Why, oh why, did I have to get myself into this mess?

I sighed as I lay on the soft green grass and closed my eyes.

"Falco." A soft and gentle voice tinkered and my eyes shot open and frantically searched for the source of the voice.

"Falco." The gentle voice giggled once again like wind chimes in the wind. I jumped up and frantically searched for the voice.

"Falco." The voice called out once more before fading away.

I sighed and went back to what I was doing, I then decided that sleep would be could, and sleep I did.

---

I opened my eyes to see myself standing in a field of grass and small wild flowers, 'Where am I?'

"Hello Mister!" A small girl with mahogany brown hair in ringlets reaching down to her waist, a white dress and a big yellow bow.

I smiled softly and kneeled down to her eye level, "Hello there little girl." I greeted, "Would you mind telling me where we are?"

She grinned widely and proudly said, "We're nowhere!" She laughed.

"Nowhere? What do you mean?" I asked the small girl.

"It means what it sounds, sir! We're everywhere and nowhere at the same time!" She smiled.

"That's nice." I said to her gently, "Though that still doesn't tell me what I want."

She tilted her head to the side and pouted before smiling again, "Maybe Chris knows!" She laughed and dragged me along.

I blinked, "Chris?" I asked

"Yeah! He's my big brother and he always protects me! He can be really mean sometimes though, do you know he threw my dolly out the window once? I cried but since he loves me, he bought me a new doll!" She smiled and continued to drag me.

"Chris! Rissy!" She cried out until she heard a soft 'yes'. I looked to where the voice came from and saw a boy with ash blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Rissy! Look! I found a man in the field of dreams." She exclaimed.

'Field of dreams?' I asked myself confused.

"So he's dead?" Chris asked the small girl and tilted his head in a similar fashion as the girl.

"Maybe..." She trailed off then turned to me, "Hey Mister, are you dead?" She asked curiously and I chuckled at her innocent doe like eyes, much like a similar brunette back home.

"Sort of, you see I'm a vampire, so I'm technically alive and dead." I grinned as she grinned as well.

"That's so cool! So what are you doing in the plane of childhood consciences?" She asked.

"Childhood Consciences? What's that?" I asked and blinked.

"What are you doing here?" She asked again, ignoring my question.

"What's the plane of childhood consciences?" I asked again.

"What are you doing here?" She once again asked.

I sighed, she sure was persistent, "I don't know what I'm doing here actually."

"Huh, a lost wanderer then" She smiled, "Alright! Rissy! Can you explain to him the Plain of Childhood Consciences?"

"Sir, this place is where everyone's child self goes to. Once someone truly grows up, their child conscience or their child soul is sent here."

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand." I frowned.

Chris sighed, "Alright, I was once a child who lived on earth, a body and all. But when someone grows up or some special cases like my sister here who still appears to be stuck at the age of eight, while I'm at the age of 12. Like you, your child conscience is probably somewhere around.

"So, you're like a representation of one's childhood?" I asked, summing up what I understood.

"Perhaps yes." He nodded and stood up.

"So, how'd you get here if you don't know why you're here?" Chris asked me as he lay down on the grass.

"Hmm, I think it happened when I fell asleep." I said.

"Huh, you're troubled then?" He asked and I frowned.

"Why'd you say that?"

"Well, when people like you, werewolves, witches, fairies, I think you get it, are feeling troubles, they get sent here. Why? I don't know either." Chris shrugged.

"Well, you're right. I'm very troubled." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"Why?" The little girl asked me and inched closer, pleading for me to tell her with her green eyes.

"Well, I just hurt my mate." I smiled sadly and she looked confused.

"Huh? Don't werewolves heal very quickly?" She asked and I chuckled.

"This is a very different type of hurt, it's a wound in the heart." I said.

"Wound of the heart?" She asked.

"Yes, it's a different type of hurt you see. Little girl, you love you brother right?" I asked her and she nodded enthusiastically.

"Let's say that that love you gave them became a piece of that person's heart, okay?"

"Alright."

"Once it's a part of them, sometime, mean people grab it and break it. Making it hurt. Taking love away from someone hurts right here." I said and pointed to where my heart was.

"Or it's like this. Love is like medicine, okay? When a heart hurts, you give them love to stop it from hurting, but if you take away that love, it begins to hurt again? Do you understand?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I think I do. But Mister, I think all you have to do is to just give her more of that medicine then. Because I don't want your heart to hurt either. You look like a very nice person, sir." She smiled at me.

"Now, you must go. Give your medicine to the girl so that she could stop hurting, yeah?" The small girl grinned.

"Alright." I nodded, got up and saw myself begin to fade.

"Before you go, can I know your name sir?" She smiled at me.

"It's Falco. Falco Thyme. And you?" I asked as a light began to engulf my vision but I heard her soft giggle and her voice saying, "It's Isabelle Falls!"

---

I jolted up and saw myself where I had fallen asleep, but now the sun was nowhere to be found and the stars were winking down at me.

I sighed and lay back down once more, "Sweet girl... Thank you. You've helped me again. In many more ways than you think... I miss you." I said and closed my eyes.

"Come back to me." I whispered.

It was short and a filler chapter, but I hope you liked it anyways.
Thanks for stopping by and tell me what you think, kay?

love always,
