CRAZY sacrifices

The smile on my face was priceless. I was excited about going back to school after my "O" break which was indeed every long.Regardless of the fact that I was was going back to the same school , I had great enthusiasm and hoped that things would be different this time around. These were going to be my last 2 years of high school, my senior years. This was more like watching the same movie all over again but expecting a different ending!

As soon as the alarm went off, I  turned as I noticed that it was already 5 am . I quickly got out of bed and continued with my packing . I had my checklist with me and I made sure that I'd packed everything I needed for the term. As soon as I was done I took a warm bath and made myself comfortable on the couch waiting for my mom to come and pick me up during lunchtime. I kept glancing through the window checking for my mom's car on the driveway. Finally , she arrived and I quickly put my bags in the car and we left for school.

The whole place was crowded when we arrived. I spotted my hostel matron from a distance and I had to make sure that I wouldn't bump into her anytime soon. I got my stuff out of the car with the help of two junior students. Unfortunately my eyes accidentally met with those of our matron and I got a bit nervous. My mom noticed it but when she asked me, I just gave her a silly explanation and i simply brushed it off . I've always been told to always trust my instincts, as soon as she saw me , she called out to me and I knew that this wasn't going to end well.She made her way to where I was standing with my mom. Being at an all girls boarding school, there are certain things that you do and you certainly wouldn't want your parents to find out .

"Welcome back Gaby Page , I hope I won't be having problems with you like I did during your junior years ," Mrs Williams said as she gave me a soft welcoming hug . My mom gave me a confused look and I just smiled at her , I knew she was going to ask me about it so I had to think of an explanation, one she would easily believe. Apparently , in my last year as a junior ,my friends and I had sneaked out of hostel and two of our school teachers had caught us. We got punished by the principal and my mother never got to know about it.
