16. A second chance

Had I really made out with Jays in the movie theatre .what was going to happen next. There's no way we would both pretend as if nothing had happened ,especially not him.

"I'm sorry about what happened earlier "

"I'd rather not talk about it"

"Why not babe , I'm apologising because from the look of things, you didnt like what I did, or did you?"

"I didn't say I liked what happened , plus either way, you're not the only one to blame"

"But were you okay with what I did"

"If I hadn't liked it, I'd have told you Jays"

"So you liked my kiss? " he says this as he slowly drives through our drive way and I'm secretly hoping that my mom had left already ,not because I wanted the house all to myself with Jays no lol. I just didn't want to lie to her anymore, explaining why I had came back with Jays after going on a date with Geo..too complicated you see!!!

"Gab..you ain't answering my question, did you like it?"

"Yes I did" I say that bluntly , he gets the impression that I don't mean what I say , so he slowly moves over to the side near the main garage and refuses to open the door for me

"Babe , I've been apologising for a while now, I told you I want us back together but you don't seem to realise how serious I am. Do you mean that you don't feel anything for me anymore? I'm really sorry for all the things I've done babe, I promise I'll never hurt your feelings again.I'll never play games with your heart, I've come to realise that you're the only girl I want in my life. I really Love you Gaby, but I won't force you into doing something you don't want to do. It's okay if you don't feel the same way. I'll just stick around till you make your decision "

"Its not like I don't feel anything for you anymore, I'm just afraid Jays,.you've done soo many things that have hurt me before. You got to the extent of dating my step sister, knowing very well what I felt towards you. I really do love you Jays, I never stopped actually,  but I believe that a person can not watch the same movie all over again and expect a different ending "

"But I'm promising you that I have changed baby, I've changed for you. I've tried my best to prove that to you, I don't know what else to do "

"You once said the same thing, but you ended up cheating on me with the other girls, I'm really confused Jays."

"Hey, I know that right now, you feel like there’s nothing good left between us. I get it. I messed up and clearly you’ve gotten to the point where you can now only focus on the bad stuff between us. All the good things that happened between us doesn’t matter to any more. I understand why you feel that way and I don’t blame you. If I were you, I would also be saying there’s nothing that can convince me to take you back one more time. However, one thing I want you to understand is that neither one of us is perfect. No one is. We both made some mistakes in our relationship, but that doesn’t mean we are bad people; it simply means we made some mistakes and learned from that, just like other people do. I accept full responsibility for my past mistakes, but I would appreciate it if you could see me for who I am now, not who I was back then. I’m not that guy anymore. I don’t expect you to believe that right away, and I don’t expect you to want to get back together again now because you’re feeling hurt. That’s fine and it’s your decision and I respect it. However, all I ask is that you at least let us try and make things work .Let’s get to know each other again based on who we are now, rather than who we were in the past."

"Wow, I really don't know what to say Jays..I"
I don't get a chance to finish my statement

" Please! I’ll do anything you want me to do. Just give me one more chance,” or “I love you! What about what we had together – doesn’t that count for anything? "

"I'm not saying that Jayson"

"So what are you saying ?"

"Okay fine!! You might be right , maybe things could work if we tried out things again, but ,."

"But what babe?"
I could see the happiness in  his eyes even though I hadn't agree to us getting back together as yet

"But we should take things slowly this time, I'm not ready to let anyone know as yet, you know how judgmental people can be."

"I understand you babe, I'll do whatever you want us to do, I love you woo much Gab. The closer I get to you the more I fall in love with you ,the more I fall in love with you the more I can’t live my life without you ever again,  I love you too much to break this heart of yours! "
