1:13 PM, Secret Place (Day 8/10)
Mark sat there, one leg up to his chest as he rested his cheek against his knee, watching the water flow down through the rocks just how his blood flowed through his body.
He missed the boy that used to be with him all the time. He missed the small frame that would snuggle into his chest at nights. He missed the smile that would brighten his day no matter what. He missed the beautiful laugh that would sound like music to his ears.
But most of all, he missed the happiness in the younger boys eyes, the happiness that was now replaced with anger and sadness.
As Mark thought about it, all of this seemed so dramatic, he could easily go up to the boy and apologize. But this wasn't one of those things where the two people would apologize, kiss, and then all of a sudden be normal.
No, this was something entirely different on so many levels.
The boy couldn't seem to get his mind off of how much he's been raging. Couldn't seem to grasp the thought of losing Donghyuck, the reality when he came quick to realize he already lost him.
He already lost the warmth from his hugs, he already lost the smile that would be plastered across his face when the boy would laugh, he already lost the feeling of happiness that covered him in every inch of his body, and he already lost the trust from the beautiful boy he loved.
But will still, no matter what, forever love the broken boy who used to be so happy in his arms.
A mind full of thoughts, eyes full of tears, hands full of sweat, Mark realized he was so deeply in love with the other boy without even knowing it at all.
He should've known sooner, he should've came to the conclusion of something when he knew his heart would always beat at a faster pace when he was around the boy. His hands would sweat and his eyes would be filled with the emotion he wished to hide away but never could.
Mark slowly lifted his cheek from his knee, laying down onto the cold stone ground and fluttered his eyes closed.
A sweet memory filled his mind as he let his mind wander through whatever it needed to.

"Are you okay?" Mark asked softly, as if he was afraid that Donghyuck would move away if his voice seemed even a little too loud.
"I'm alright. I'm completely out of shape and I like walking better and we ran for like 10 minutes so." Donghyuck laughed lightly, his breathing calming down a little but it was still very heavy.
Mark let a small smile appear on his lips as he opened up his arms. "Come here."
"What?"
"You heard me. C'mon."
Donghyuck sighed as he crawled over to Mark, laying his head in the crook of his neck and wrapping one arm around his waist. Mark laid one hand on the back of the other boys head and the other around his waist, pulling him closer.
The rest of the boys had already fallen asleep, soft snores being heard.
"Are we actually gonna sleep on a stone ground next to a waterfall and where anyone could come here? I know it's literally completely hidden but still." Donghyuck whispered.
Mark chuckled. "We'll be fine."
As soon as he said that, Mark's chest rose up and a boom was heard but it surprisingly wasn't loud.
They both looked up and saw a light blue force field wrapped around the hidden place, protecting the boys from any danger.
"Does that help convince you?" Mark said with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Yes." The other boy replied as he snuggled into Mark's chest more.
Mark sighed and ran his hand through Donghyuck's hair, closing his eyes and falling asleep with a small smile.

Mark gently smiled to himself at the memory, wrapping his arms slowly around himself as he opened his eyes to look at the waterfall.
Watching the waterfall was something Mark could never get tired of, it was relaxing and he found it comforting even if all it did was just rush down.
Mark would never admit it but all he wanted to do was kiss and hug Donghyuck all the time, protect him forever, and love him with everything he has. He could never admit out loud that he fell in love with the younger boy, because what was the point of admitting to being in love with someone, when all you knew was that they would never be able to return those feelings?
Mark didn't even understand how this all happened, or why it even did, but he was starting to consider the possibility of everything turning out to be okay.
