10:12 PM, Donghyuck's Room (Day 2/10)
Donghyuck laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling like it was the most interesting thing he's ever seen.
His mom had been out all day so he was free from beatings, knowing that once he was healed, his mom would beat him again and wait for the wounds to heal just to repeat the cycle all over again.
Sometimes, she wouldn't even let him heal.
The boys mind soon drifted off to Mark, the place his mind was always stuck in, always seemed to be drawn there.
"I wanna accept you, Mark. I just need to figure out what's holding me back. I'm so confused." He said out loud to himself, placing his arm over his forehead.
Last night flooded into his brain, the moment appearing in flashes, as if it was a camera that continuously kept taking pictures of something. Pictures of something that they wanted to remember but would vanish as time went on, and Donghyuck was sure he didn't want to remember what happened.
Why did Mark care about him? He left them, in the most rudest way possible.
He ruined his one chance to actually have friends, and what made it worse is that they were actually accepting, but he still had the guts to leave them just because of his stupid feelings.
His stupid feelings of being scared by a goddamn wolf boy, but he couldn't help but feel that there was so much more to it.
The boy had enough for one night, turning his head towards the doorknob to make sure it was locked, he sunk into the warmth of his bed and quickly fell asleep.
~~
Mark was going crazy, even his friends were terrified of him.
"GOD DAMMIT!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, smashing and throwing whatever was in his reach towards the wall.
Donghyuck was on his mind, everything about the boy was on his mind. His cut up lip, the bruises that covered all of his body, and all he could think about was how much he hated seeing him like that.
God, he missed the other boy so much, it actually hurt.
You know that feeling where you just miss someone so much? That feeling where it hurts to even think about the other person? That goddamn horrible feeling when you know you can't be with them even if you tried? It's like holding a beautiful rose but the only thing that happens is getting hurt by the thorns; craving something so beautiful but getting stabbed by the thorns because you know it'll just bring you more pain.
Jisung stood outside of Mark's door, debating on whether he should knock or not.
Sighing, he softly knocked, waiting for an answer as he flinched at the sound of something crashing on the floor. The door swung open, revealing a very different Mark.
"What do you want?" His tone wasn't angry, but almost like it was on the verge of breaking.
All Jisung could do in that moment was hug the older tightly, with no intention of letting go. Small tears were forming in his eyes as he thought about the hard time that Mark was having.
Mark wanted to push him off, he wanted to yell at him for giving him so much pity when that's not what he wanted, because he didn't want pity.
But as soon as he heard the younger sniffle while quickly wiping a tear away, he couldn't bring himself to do it.
The younger's face was buried in Mark's chest as he had his arms wrapped around his waist.
Mark's eyes softened as he realized he could never be mad at Jisung, he wrapped his arms around the younger's neck tightly, holding him close.
Jisung cared about Mark a lot, it hurt when the older was having such a hard time. He always made sure the rest of them were doing alright, he always checked up on the younger kids and never himself.
They hugged in the middle of Mark's doorway for a while, just there silently as they both knew what was happening.
They both knew that Donghyuck needed to come back.
They didn't know how, but they definitely knew why.
