10:10 PM, Donghyuck's Room (Day 9/10)
A slap. A punch. A kick. A belt. A bat.
Could he even take this anymore? Could he even survive due to how many injuries he's had?
He didn't even know what would happen after his beatings were done for the day. Would his wounds still heal correctly?
What would happen if this continues?
Most of the time, he wondered what the hell made his mother this way. Whenever he asked, he got a beating and was always told that nothing happened to her.
Could she not see it? Was she not able to see how much pain she's inflicted into her child? Is she going to take more and more blood out of him just to fill her necessities of seeing her son suffer?
Donghyuck slid down against his wooden door, his hands covering his face as they tangled into his hair. He was so frustrated, so angry towards himself because he wasn't able to tell his mother off. He wasn't able to tell her to stop and all he could do was sit there and take the hard beatings.
He had to repeat the same routine over and over again. Take the beating, run up stairs, lock the door, care for the wounds, and sleep.
It was the same thing almost every day, waiting to heal only to get more beatings afterwards.
Donghyuck liked to think back on the moments where his family was happy together, the beautiful times they spent laughing and being crazy, the small outings they had to a fun place; everything was almost perfect.
Until one night, where it all changed.

12 year old Donghyuck woke up the middle of the night, having the sudden urge to use the bathroom. Slowly, he got out of bed and made his way out the door, still rubbing his eyes to clear his vision.
As he walked past his fathers office room, he took a peek inside to see his father packing things into a medium sized bag.
Being the curious child he was, he walked inside and mumbled out a small, "Dad?"
His father turned to him and pulled up the zipper on the bag, pushing it closer to him subtly.
"Hey buddy. Did you just wake up now?" A small smile played onto his fathers lips.
The boy nodded, groaning as he stretched out his arms.
"Hyuck, I'm gonna be going on a little trip for a while, okay? Don't miss me too much. Your mother will take care of you while I'm gone." He lifted his hand up to run his hand through his sons soft hair, his voice soft as he spoke.
"Okay. I'll miss you a lot, though."
"I'll miss you too, buddy." His father got up, grabbing the bag with him and tucking it in between his arm and side.
"I love you, Dad."
Before his father walked out, he gently smiled at his son, taking in how precious he looked, knowing that this was the end of them being able to see each other again.
"I love you more."

As Donghyuck recalled the memory, tears came flowing out of his eyes, sobs choking his throat.
He missed his father so much, he always missed him.
He missed the way his mothers smile would light up the world as she looked at her husband, he missed the way his father would pick him up and spin him around while laughing, he missed the way his parents always treated him lovingly, and he missed the happiness that radiated throughout the house.
"Where are you, Dad? Why didn't you ever come back?" Donghyuck whispered to himself, the roughness in his voice hurting his throat.
So many emotions filled his body and mind once again, but he wasn't fazed by it anymore. It was normal. He knew it would happen anyway.
The sobs echoed through his rib cage, his body starting to hurt everywhere, and he wasn't sure if it was from the painful crying or from the beatings.
The only person who was able to make him feel loved ever since his father left, was Mark.
But what was he supposed to do? Just suddenly go to the secret place in hope of meeting Mark and randomly apologize?
That wouldn't fix everything.
Hell, he didn't even accept Mark as a wolf, or whatever the hell he is.
Donghyuck didn't know how to accept him, even if he wanted to, he had no knowledge of accepting his powers or change.
He wasn't sure what to do at all.
