Mako - Breath

*

Avery Donavon sat beside Raven Reyes, watching her before shaking her head. Raven glanced towards her, rising her eyebrows. "Have you got something to say, Donavon?" she asked.

"You're doing it wrong." she tutted.

"How do you know?"

Avery rolled her eyes. "Trust the engineer." Raven stood up, letting Avery sit in her place to do it correctly.

"Is there anything you two can't fix?" Shaw asked the two, mainly looking at Raven.

Raven answered in Avery's place. "Seperatly, many things. Together, just my leg."

Avery looked up, remembering. "The Mechanic and the engineer, Bellamy called us." she said before turning to Shaw. "I remember she once took a dropship and leftover rocket fuel and made it blast off so we could win a war. First time any of us faught in one and she did it with a bullet lodged in her back."

Raven smirked. "I remember it being your idea."

Avery tilted her head to the side slightly. "Not my best, I have to admit."

Shaw looked towards her. "What was?"

"Probably going to Beca's lab to save Rave and then to space to escape a radiation wave but then again, I couldn't have thought of that without Monty." she said before looking up and smiling. "Helping to get the idea build the rover when I was still sick." she said, gesuring to her hip where a scar from the drill was still fresh.

"Sick?"

"A bunch of us were drilled into by Mount Weather, I was as well." she began. "I was because Clarke decided to kill Cage's father."

"Intense." he said before chuckling.

"More like painful."

Murphy scoffed, sitting beside Avery. "I also remember it taking Avery 6 years to get us back down to the ground." he said.

Avery looked towards him. "Look around. This is earth." she told him as if she was speaking to a toddler.

Murphy scoffed before Avery handed the satellite back to Raven. "It should be working now." Avery then turned to Shaw. "Murph hates when we're that good."

"Careful. Cave's not big enough to fit both of your heads." Murphy told the two.

"See. Once Raven and I beat him and Bellamy in a football match because apparently we didn't have enough legs to beat them. They both sulked for almost a week, it was hilarious." Avery smiled to him before Murphy pointed to Raven. "OK, well, then what about Eligius Three?" he began, Raven rolling her eyes. "Ah, she has the look of failure right there."

Avery turned to her to Raven with an eyebrow raised. "When we were on the mothership, I hacked the Eligius files. I just couldn't crack that one." Raven knudged Avery's shoulder. "I bet you could've."

"Yeah, I probably could've. Technical engineer and all."

Murphy turned to Avery. "You're not so different. Remember that water reclemator."

Avery looked up. "The bane of my existence." she moaned, Murphy laughing at her. "We would be dead, if it wasn't for that thing Murph. Don't get cocky."

Avery glanced to Shaw who was smiling at Raven before smiling. "Come on, lover boy, I need help with this." she told him.

He stood up, taking the antenna with her and setting it up outside. Shaw came with her, helping her set it in a platform.
