I've lived my whole life on a ship. I can't remember the last time I've seen land except if it was to get supplies or expand our crew with more men. But I do remember the time when a boy came on board. He was so shy at the start and had a really sassy attitude. That's why I liked him so much at the end and decided to become his friend. It didn't go so well, but I like where we are now.
"Mom!" I yelled, but she didn't respond. She was too busy looking at her surroundings. I ran up to her. "Mom, where are we going now?" I asked.
My mom was the captain of the ship. She looked frustrated at me and put her hand on my shoulder.
"Remember that yellow thing Jim had with him for a couple of months ago?" She asked me and I nodded. "Well, we have finally figured out what it is."
"Really?" I exclaimed. "What is it?"
She looked around and made sure no one was listening to our conversation.
"It's a map.. to a treasure.." she whispered.
"Oooh.." I said.
"Yeah, but keep it quiet. Okay?"
"Okay mom."
I then wandered off and down to the kitchen where Jim probably were about to cut tomatoes. I was right.
"Hi Jim!"
He looked up without saying anything but gave me a friendly smile.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.
"Tell you What?"
"About the map?"
He sighed.
"Sorry.. I totally forgot about it. I'll make it up to you Okay?"
"How?"
"I'll give you the most perfect sliced tomato on the ship and the most curliest, not watery spaghetti!"
I laughed and slapped his shoulder gently.
"You're such a dumbass!"
"Yeah, but you still love me," He smirked.
That made me blush and turn my face away from him. I hated when he said that. The truth is, that I already have kinda fallen in love with him, but.. I'm not allowed to. Jim doesn't know, but my mom had made rules for the ship since I was born that no man should flirt or talk with me unless it was businesses or work. If someone did, they would be thrown out of the ship. That's why I've been trying not to make my feelings too obvious.
"What are you doing later?" He suddenly asked me.
"What? Nothing I guess."
"I want to take you out solar surfing if you want to."
"I hate you!" I yelled and slapped his shoulder once again. "You know damn well I hate heights!"
He started laughing while I sat there with my arms crossed.
"Don't worry, you'll be with me the whole time. And you just have to hold on tight to me and you won't fall off."
Silence.
Oh gosh my head was about to turn even more red.
"(Y/N)," He said with a low sexy voice.
I gasped inside when he was leaning in.
"Your.. your face has the same color as the tomato.. are you sick or something?"
I noticed he had placed the tomato in his hand right next to me and compared my face with it.
"You Little shit.." I said silently and shook my head.
He burst out laughing.
"I'll take that as a yes for solar surfing!" He said without letting me answer.

"Jim.. when you said 'later' I thought it was later on the day. Not later in the night!" I yelled at him while he prepared the solar surfer. "This is just gonna be more frightening!"
"You'll just have to hold on tighter then," he said and moaned because of the weight of the solar surfer. "Besides, I'll be holding you too, so there won't be any chance of you falling off."
I bit my bottom lip. He was so handsome. Standing there with his huge metal thing, working like a real man. I sighed.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Nothing, I'm just preparing myself not to freak out."
He chucked.
"I hope you're done preparing then, because I'm ready now. And so is the surfer."
I nodded.
"Cool, I'll go on first."
He jumped on it and kicked something and a little sail came up. He then looked at me and reached out his hand.
"Take my hand."
I did what he said and grabbed it. I warm feeling spread in my whole body and I suddenly felt safe. He helped me get up and I rapidly wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my face in his neck. I didn't want to see.
"Start out slowl- AHHH!" I screamed as the solar surfer flew up in the sky within a second.
"WOHOOOO!" Jim screamed while making all weird stunts in the air.
He flew to the left, then right then straight forward and then.. it all went silent and slow. I opened my eyes again after a long time.
"Look," He said. "This is what you've been missing."
He was right. All that time he had been trying to take me out on a solar surfer to see this.. I had said no because of my fright of heights. I squeezed me closer to him and put my head on his shoulder.
"This is truly amazing, Jim.." I said. "Thank you for this.."
I don't know which button he pushed, but it was definitely the auto pilot, because he had turnt around to face me. His hands around my waist and mine around his neck. The most beautiful moment of my life.
"You look so gorgeous," he said with a chuckle. "Your eyes are shining there in the moonlight and the stars. Do you have any idea about how beautiful you are?" He said.
I looked down at the ship, terrified if someone would see us, but it looked just as empty as when we were flying.
"Jim.." I said with a crooked smile. "I've been-"
"MR. HAWKINS AND MISS (Y/N)!"
We both looked down at the ship and saw my mom. Oh no.. we rapidly let go of each other and stared down at her.
"Hi mom!" I said. "What are doing up so late?!"
"How could I overhear the sound of screaming and yelling?! Now, get down here before I get up there!"
She pointed at us with a straight finger and I felt the anger in her voice. What have I done?
"Yes, Captain." Jim said with a particular voice.
He turned off the auto pilot and flew down to the deck. I could feel he was scared too, but he kept his cold face expression. I knew what was gonna happen and what my mom would say. And I could tell on her face, she wasn't gonna tell us with a friendly voice.
