Five years later.

I jumped down of the tree and landed on my feet. I ran in between some bushes and followed the trail where a lot of houses where families lived. I waved to Miss. Grundy and her son who crossed my way.

"Hello miss. Hawkins!" She greeted me.

"Hello Grundy. How are you?"

"Oh we're fine! Aren't we Berry?"

The little brown haired boy smiled big at me and nodded.

"Yes!"

"That's wonderful!" I said. "Well, I better get back to Jim and Amalie."

Miss. Grundy nodded and tapped my shoulder gently.

"Say hello from me."

"I will."

I walked away from them and followed the trail once again a little further away from the big village. Jim and I had settled down on a little farm. I walked up to the front door and opened it. The sound of Amalie screaming mom made my heart flutter.

"She's home! Mom is home!"

The sound of small feet running through the hallways filled the air and then I saw her. Her little smiling face that shined the brightest. She came running into my arms and I lifted her up and swung her around.

"How's my little girl!"

"I'm great mommy! Dad is in the kitchen! He's trying to cook, but it smells vary bad!"

I laughed.

"Don't tell me how to cook!" I heard Jim yell from the kitchen.

My daughter grinned again and I followed her to the kitchen where Jim struggled with boiling water.

"What are you making?" I asked.

"Pasta.."

I grinned.

"Amalia.. come and help me!" He said.

"Okay daddy!"

She ran over to him and started helping him. I sat on the chair and watched them. It had been five years since Jim and I flew away from the ship and from my mother. We now had a three year old little girl named Amalie.

Sometimes I wonder where my mom and the crew is by now. If they're looking for Jim and I.

"Mommy look!"

I shook my thoughts away and looked at Amalie who held a pan over her head.

"What are you doing honey?"

"I'm helping daddy making fried chicken!"

"Well that's great. Not put it on the stove before you accidentally hit yourself with it."

She giggled and put it on the stove as I said.

I sighed. I really missed my mom.

The next morning I woke up Jim and Amalie. We were going for a walk in the forest together. We got dressed very fast and left the house.

"Again again!" Amalie squealed and grabbed both me and Jim's hand.

We threw her up in the air and she landed on the ground giggling.

"Our arms are getting tired. Go ahead of us and see if you can find some pretty rocks," Jim said and she ran off.

He took my hand and squeezed it gently.

"Aren't you happy?" He suddenly asked me.

I nodded with a big smile.

"If we haven't done it five years ago we wouldn't be here."

"That's right, Jim."

He kissed my cheek.

"Mom! Dad! Come and see!"

We rapidly ran for the voice that sounded like Amalie. We stopped right behind her and looked up.

"No.. way.." I gasped.

"Isn't that.."

"Yes it is."

My mother's ship, RLS Fortuna had parked right there. Where were the crew?

I grabbed Amalie's hand.

"We gotta go.." I muttered.

We turned around and I froze. No way..

My mother's clear eyes stared at me from the bushes.

"Is.. is that you (Y/N)?" She muttered as she walked closer to us.

"Mom?"

I squeezed my daughters and Jim's hands.

"I'll take Amalie.. you go talk to your mom." He whispered to me and took Amalie and walked away.

"Is that.. my grandchild?" She asked with sadness in her voice as she pointed at those two who walked away.

"Yes.. She is.."

She tried to smile, but the tears showed up and rolled down her face.

"Why didn't you.. ever come back?" She asked.

"Mom.. you wouldn't allow Jim and I being together.. we couldn't do anything to be happy."

She suddenly grabbed my hands and stared into my eyes.

"I've missed you so much! I can't believe you actually have your own family.. and without me knowing.."

"Well.. reality hurts."

She haven't changed. The same brown hair and no wrinkles.

She rubbed my cheek with her finger. I couldn't stop but smiling.

"Mom.. how did you find me?"

"I have searched for you for five years, honey. And I've never stopped. But now.. we can be together. We can pick up the lose ends.. we can be a family again.."

I smiled and felt the tears fill my eyes.

"And you won't try to pull Jim and I away from each other?"

"That was a big mistake honey. I should've never told you who to be with and not to.. I'm so sorry.."

"It's okay mommy.. I just missed you so much.."

She let go of my hands and pulled me into a big hug. I squeezed her tight and never wanted to let go. When we finally pulled back she dried her cheeks from tears with her hand.

"Maybe you can move to the deck with us?" She said.

"With Jim and Amalie?" I asked.
Happiness filled my body.

"Amalie? Is that what she's called?"

"Yes mom. After you."

She smiled big.

"Please. Move to the ship with me. We'll find a place somewhere and live. I promise."

"I'll talk to Jim and Amalie.. but for now.."

I grabbed her hand.

"Let's talk and you can meet your granddaughter."
