"And you may kiss the bride......."
"You are not better than me. You clearly cheated and your lying, you can't kiss me and expect me not to be distracted, how do I know I can trust you now?"
"Hey, you can't say that you better apologize".
"Hell no you bitch".
David and I were currently fighting over who is better at Mario Cart. He had a giant pout on his face, his bottom lip stuck out and he huffed turning his back once dropping the controller to the ground.
"You are just a big sore loser old man".
He took his time turning his front to me slowly with an eyebrow raised.
"What did you just call me?". His hand drew from his sides. He undid his cuff links, sighted his arms and pulled up his sleeves.
I instantly regret what I had said and sent him a weary side smile. He frown unfazed and I raised my mouth higher exposing my teeth.
"Oh hell no don't think because your my wife your gonna get away with this," He dashed towards me and in a flash I was gone. I travelled through the corridor trying my hardest to swiftly dash past the ornaments without breaking them. Coming close to red steps I bolted up the stairs faster than I ever had before, because I knew there's only one thing that makes David this angry with me, and that's when I call him old.
Heading straight for the bedroom I wished we had more decorations in here large enough for me to hide behind. As cliché as it was I headed straight for under the bed swimming through my stashes of assorted oreos. The soft click of the door knob sounded through the room causing me to flinch.
Dammit, I should have locked it.
"Where are you hiding baby?" his voice rang through the house. I was under the bed in the room praying he would just forget it and leave me alone.
We have been married for over a year, yet the sparks are still there every time he touches me or kisses me. Sometimes I forget he's a crazy mafia king who kills people for a living, selling drugs and all sorts.
But, no matter the complications we find ourselves in, he's always looking after me. Especially after the whole incident even when I was having nightmares, David was there to calm me down.
My breathing became ragged and unstable. I knew we were being a bit extra but that's what I love about him. We were just being ourselves.
"Well if Saryah isn't here I'll just have to throw away her favorite Michael Bublé tracks".
He was trying to lure me out but it wasn't going to work. I calmed myself down letting quick silent pants.
Not this time.
"Or her secret stash of chocolate oreos in the bedside table".
Dammit!
I dragged myself from under the bed and lunged at him. Unfortunately he expected my attack and flipped me over. My back landed on the bed as David shadowed me looking scary as hell. He traced my hands and arms while goosebumps followed the trail. I kept my hands tucked tightly beside me abdomen.
