Waking up in the morning everything from yesterday came flooding back in. The spa, Kian's family and the fight. My neck was extremely sore due to the fact that I slept on Kian's floor. Their were many rooms left but I just didn't feel safe alone. I awoke my body stretching. I groaned due to the pain in my neck. Sitting back against the bed I felt two hands wrap the peak of my shoulder blades.
I turned around twisting the wrist of this hand. Kian sat on the edge of the bed with his wrist in my grasp. "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry" I let go of his wrist rubbing it. "No don't be, I shouldn't have snuck up on you like that. Why do you even need a body guard if you reflexes are steel?". I laughed at his attempts to lighten the mood. I grabbed his hands and put them back on my neck.
Turning back around we sat in silence as he continued massaging. "You didn't have to do that yesterday" he whispered. "It was my fault. David was right, I should have listened to him and take you home. It was too dangerou-".
"Shut up Kian. It was clearly my fault I forced you with my glare of doom." I smiled. "David just needs to open up. He needs to tell me things. He needs to relax we got home safely didn't we so what's the problem? It's not we are going to come to Italy and leave without seeing your family. They were all so happy yesterday". "
Maybe because they found out I had a friend who wasn't bad for me".
"Well, maybe we should get some breakfast" I asked. He jumped at the sound me mentioning the word breakfast "CHOCOLATE PANCAKES!".

"So good" Kian's closed his eyes chewing his first bite of my chocolate pancakes. I disheveled his hair laughing. "Glad you like 'em". "Everything you make is like amazing" He chuckled. "Can't say the same for you Keeno".
"Ouch. How dare you?" he gasped holding his hand to is chest. Giggling I turned around to wash the dishes. Kian was awfully quiet. "Why aren't you talki-" I stopped at the sight of a man I've come to dislike strongly lately. David stood there in a stripy blue and white shirt.
He wore a pair of navy slacks and black Aldo's. I dropped the frying pan in the sink and turned to the other exit.
I proceeded through the excessively long corridor. My mind was fixated on my dickhead of a husband. He hurt everyone around him, yet I still loved him. "Saryah...... Saryah wait" his voice echoed through the corridor, I continued walking. Before I could turn another corner I felt my body being pushed against the wall. He grabbed both my wrists with one hand pinning them above my head.
He pressed his body against mine. My breathing became ragged. "Saryah. Just listen to me." Rolling I nodded my head signalling him to continue. "I want to let you in, but I can't. I just can't". He let go of my wrists and they fell slowly to my sides. My face fell, why did he not trust me.
"Why......... Why can't you tell me? Why?" My voice started to crack. Unwilling tears poured down my cheeks. "I'm tainted. Impure. Unclean. If I do". I held my hand on his face gently, he leaned into my touch. "What?"
"You'll leave me".
I withdrew my hand silently. Is that what he thought of me, what he thought of us. I pushed him back. He stumbled backwards a bit before regaining balance. I watched him carefully, before turning my heel ignoring his pleas and calls.........

I laid on the bed not before locking the door. Kian and Dom came in multiple times trying to cheer me up. I refused to eat and drink. At the moment I didn't feel like eating, drinking or talking. I sat thinking. About life. Myself. But mostly David. I just realized I knew nothing about him. His past, his memories, what he enjoys doing other than work.
The door unlocked. I knew it was David he was the only one who had the key. I felt the bed dip,but I kept my gaze on the window watching the rain pelt and trickle against and down the glass.
"My father was one out of two kids. His older brother betrayed us and broke the omerta. The omerta is a vow you take once you join the mafia. It's is a code of silence till death do you part. My uncle broke that, he told the French our hideout for all our weaponry. So he was banished. My father took over the mafia. And so it was passed down to me."
"My uncle was murdered two years after my father took over. I knew my grandfather was responsible but I did not want to cause a family conflict. I was only nine. My grandfather abused me terribly. He was so bad I wouldn't even wish it upon my worst enemy. My uncle had a son before he died. Antonio. He is dangerous. He has many gangs in Italy under his control. He kills innocent people for pleasure. He rapes young girls only to throw them into trafficking. He has a huge human trafficking business. Part of the omerta was no human trafficking. We Gandy's cannot stand it. Now that he has come after you I will be out for blood and nothing else." I stared at David in shock.
Although the darkness shadowed his face. I could see the rage that was built up in him. All I wanted to do was hold him, but I was so scared, at this point anything could happen. I placed my hand over his. He immediately calmed down. He pulled me in smashing his lips against mine.
After a few seconds we pulled apart. He brought me in hugging me. "I'm not going to let him get to you. Unless I'm killing him in front of you.
"You're mine and mine only"
