Waking up in the morning David was still snoring away. I decided to make breakfast today to give Helga a well deserved break. I got out of bed trying my hardest not to wake David up. He stirred as I lifted the sheets but went back to bed.
I entered the shower on the second floor so I didn't wake him up. The water ran down my back and arms gliding it's way down a natural slope before pouring to the shower floor much to my satisfaction. Exiting the shower I rushed to my room and picked up the days outfit.
I threw on a pair of white and gold lined fluffy socks and sped down the stairs. It took me a couple minutes to ponder on what I would actually make for breakfast. Grabbing the flour and salt from the cupboards, I decided to prepare my signature pancakes.
I turned to the door overhearing a creaking sound, Helga walked in. "Hey Helga, I was thinking of making breakfast for David today". I said smiling even though my back was to her. I just wanted to give her a break at the same time as putting myself back in an environment I felt comfortable in.
"You're good for him" she whispered. Before I could question what her intention behind those words were her she had disappeared.
Finishing plating the pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon David intruded my hard working atmosphere.
He wore nothing from waist up, it didn't exactly help either at the fact that the ironic sun of Los Angeles decided to bounce its light off his perfect stomach. My mouth was watering, before he notice my drool I turned my head to the pancakes, hiding my blush. "Morning beautiful" he whispered into my neck after seductively approaching me. He kissed it slowly only making my blush to deepen a dark red tint.
The moron then left me high and dry. He settled on one of the stools by the island. I served him his food and the suffocating tension in the air could be cut with a knife. He cut his pancakes into little squares and ate them one by one. Making sure he licked his spoon slowly after he popped one in.
If he wanted to play fire then he must know I will play the exact same. Looking into his eyes under my lashes, I licked the syrup from a piece of my pancake.
His eyes opened and then went back to normal. He moved in his seat akwardly. I was never this confident so this was a real boost to my self esteem. "I was thinking we haven't had dinner together in a while" he asked trying to change the subject. He was right I was spending time with Kian a lot more.
I stood up slowly leaning forward so my shirt could fall a bit. " No problem I'll wear something new". Exiting the house I heard him whisper profanities and I smiled.

"Uugghh why am I even here"."Because my dearest Kian, Claire is busy and I don't like shopping myself. How about this one?" I stepped forward pressing my mouth together and lifting my brows in expectance of another harsh response.
Stepping out of the changing room, Kian stood there in shock. The deep v neck sunk down like a waterfall in between my chest and stomach. It was short and I enjoyed the look my of legs in it. He stared me up and down with a puzzled face. "What do I look fat in it, I should have worked out this summer, he not gonna like oh my-"
"Shut up Sarayah" to say I was surprised was not enough Kian never talked to me like.........that. His voice was scruffy and had dropped an octave. "It's perfect". I smiled and went back in. "I've got a surprise for him just wait for this."
I tied my hair up into to messy buns and let the rest fall. I put on my white crop top and checkered skirt. I put on my fake glasses and thigh high boots. I jumped out spinning around. Turning back to Kian his pupils were dilated. "Well........" I asked waving my hand. Then I noticed everybody in the store were staring.
Another elderly man and woman were seated further down the corridor of the dressing rooms, their eyes were glued to my legs, while the male took the liberty to roam his eyes where mine haven't.
The silver haired woman winked at me nodding her head. This was going to be my night."I held his hand to try calm him down. Luckily after he did I payed for the items and we exited the mall to enter the car. Kian sat at the steering wheel, emotionless. "Kian do you want to talk about it". After he looked for the right words to say he spoke.
"God so help me I wi-". Kian muttered under his breath turning from the couple still peering from their dressing room.
********
"I just don't like the way they had no shame staring at you even as you made eye contact. And that guy his eyes were lingering where they should have lingered". His words were sharp and not once did he stutter. He was angered by their actions and I couldn't come up with something to say to him."I didn't have a problem with it Kian. Neither should you it was fine honestly. Don't worry about it". Living with the so called mafia Casanova has really been a confidence boost this past year.
"I know it's just you're my... best friend and the best I've had ever. I just don't want you hurt".The silence that followed after was awkward and anything said at this point would intensify it so I decide to wait it out.
The rest of the car ride was silent. It was an uncomfortable silence all till I the mansion lights beamed through the glass. My mind was so occupied I hadn't even noticed passing the gates. "Well that's me K".
"Sweet dreams Hebrew".

The only light in the room was the candle light as David and I ate dessert, little did he know that I had a surprise for him. "I have something to show you just wait at the bottom of the stairs". I ran up the stairs and fixed my hair while trying to assemble my outfit, falling over multiple times in the rush and exhilaration. Once I was done took a deep breath and walked towards the stairs.
Why the heck was I so nervous?
"Mr Gandy" I whispered in the most seductive voice I could muster. His head snapped up. Immediately he saw me he stared me up and down licking his lips. He didn't even try to hide his longing gaze from under his lashes.
One point Saryah.
Zero for Gandy.
