Saryah's POV

Walking through the aisles I felt like someone was watching me, I knew David's men were here but the vibes were eerily disturbing. I felt eyes on me so I self consciously turned around almost every minute. Stuffing the lettuce into the already full trolley, I proceeded towards the confectionery aisle. I turned my neck glaring at the guards, warning them to give me some space.

Leaving the shopping with them, I bumped straight into a tall object plummeting towards the ground. I closed my eyes bracing myself for the impact. I never came in contact with the cold tiled floor causing me to open my eyes, one by one in embarrassment. He held two arms around my waist sent securing me in place. He his face was shadowed in darkness by his hood. My breathing became ragged as I tried to gather myself.

"I'm so sorry, I am so clumsy and paranoid apparently" I chuckled trying to ease into conversation. "It's okay" he kept his head down low "you should always watch where you're going". Suddenly I turned my head seeing all the guards run up to me on alarm. I place my gaze back in front only to see the mysterious stranger vanished.

I went back to shopping, not before all the guard surrounded the supermarket in case something was going on. A drop of sweat trickled down my forehead. Who was he? I pushed aside any thoughts and focused on Kian.

**************

"Just get in the car you suspicious squirrel". I walked beside Kian as he wondered why I was so happy. "Seriously Hebrew, what is it? A surprise party? You know I hate surprises if they're for me". I got sick of it and pushed him into the car lightly before jogging round to my side. When I got in I chuckled as Kian was still talking to himself. I leaned across his side reaching for his seat belt. His breath hitched and his face turned 50 shades of red.

"Let's go. What shut you up Keeno?" I giggled to myself at the twins' nickname for him. "If only you knew what is going on in my mind right now" he said barely above a whisper. I turned on the radio before fastening my own seat belt.

We arrived at the house and everything looked normal. I couldn't stop smiling so I hid behind Kian's back. He pushed open the house door slowly looking around for any jump scares.

He breathed a sigh of relief "Jeez, Hebrew you almost got me ther-". "SURPRISE!" The whole Romano family jumped out smiling. David and Dom stood beside each other. David had his arms folded across his chest while Dom did the same.

Kian jumped screaming like a five year old girl. He held his ribs and winced in pain. "Crap, crap, crap, crap" I rushed to his front holding his belly by both side. "C'mon K, sit down." I lead him to the kitchen holding his back and waist.

Sitting him down we both muttered curses under our breaths. I held the hem of his tank top looking at his face for permission. He nodded his head quickly as I pulled his to up revealing his abs. I felt heat rise to my face before turning around searching for the first aid kit. "Where is it?".

"Top left" he muttered. I opened the cabinet revealing almost a dozen first aid kits. "There's many people getting injuries here" he chuckled. I smiled turning around hoping my blush had faded. I popped open the kit as Kian just stared at me. "Arms" I whispered as he lifted the up a bit. "You really should stop taking your bandages off until your healed."

He huffed in annoyance "They're itchy though". I lifted my head up from wrapping the fabric around his rib cage area. I lifted my eyebrow towards him. He lifted his hands in surrender but flinched at the pain. I warned waving my manicured finger in front of his nose.

Everything went silent as I continued wrapping the bandage around his torso. I could felt his stare burning the back of my head, but paid no attention to it. "Why did you do it?" I wanted that to come out authoritative and in control, but it all came out as a weak whimper. I snipped the end of the bandage picking up the tape.

"I don't know, it just felt like the right thing to do?" I could hear him frown almost as if that wasn't what he wanted to say. I smiled tapping his bandages. "All done, babe". I walked in front smiling at everyone "He's good, just no more surprises maybe." Everyone turned the gazes to Emma and Chiara. "Whaaaaat?"

*********************

Kian's family had left. Kian and I were cleaning up. Well I was cleaning up he sat on the stool eating finishing the remains of his Popsicle while I washed the dishes. He came at sat on the counter bumping into me in the process. "Thanks, for everything. For being there for staying". "It's what you do for the ones you love K" I held a weak smile only face and turned back to the dishes. "Stop acting cringy, it's making me sick".

I picked up a handful of dish soap and spread it on his hair. He took a cup and filed it with water pouring it on my new sundress. How dare he!? We played with water and soap for a few minutes until I gave up. "Stop . Stop. Stop" I chuckled. His laughter died down and we stared at each other in silence. He leaned in slowly.

My heart rate picked up. His brown eyes started to close. My blue orbs mimicked his actions. What am I doing? Why can't I stop? David! David! David! "Saryah!" I heard David calling my name saving me from a soon to be very awkward predicament. Kian pulled away with his face twisting in anger. "Go on, go off to David again. Isn't that what you always do?" He muttered walking out of the kitchen. When he was finally out of sight, I took a sip of relief. I didn't think of Kian in that way. I'm not attracted to him. But he's my the closest thing in have to a brother at the moment. Rejecting him will hurt his feelings. Right?

I dropped my arms to my sides in frustration and proceeded to David's office.
