Saryah's POV

Kian and I strolled through the park with Oreo. He was speaking about something but I couldn't focus on him. I kept thinking about David.

Was it a mistake or is he lying?
What if he is cheating on me?
I'll have no one to go to.
I'm an orphan.

"Saryah"

What if I become homeless?

"Saryah"

Where will Oreo go?

"Saryah" I felt a sting on my arm. Turning my neck I met an angry Kian. "Are you even listening?". I shook my head. "I'm sorry, it's just David said he was meeting Mr Addington yesterday. And then he said he and Mr Ainsley have to finish what they started yesterday".

Kian looked livid. "David, David, David, David. That's all you talk about. Plus if he's cheating on you he's the biggest idiot ever." He seemed to calm after he saw me almost breaking down.

He pulled me in for a hug. "Don't worry David knows no other woman except like that..... You wanna get some ice cream". Before I could ask Kian who she was, he was already speeding down the path.

*************

I closed the front door quietly and hung up Oreos leash. Proceeding through the house I was a lot quieter hoping to find some sort of evidence. Then I heard it. David's voice. "No Helen, it was the last time and it's never gonna happen again......... It was a mistake.......... I thought I made that clear yesterday" I stepped back in shock.

Unfortunately the china vase beside David's office moved. "Helen don't call me again" David proceeded forward. His head came out of the office first. Upon seeing the the coast was clear he reentered his office.

I put on my best happy face and stood by the front door. I reclosed the door louder. "David are you home?" "Yes, baby" I almost choked when hearing the intimate label. I mustered up some courage when I saw him coming. He planted a kiss right on my lips. I had never felt so disgusted by him kissing me.

Oreo started barking so I picked him up. "Damn, mutt stealing all my baby's attention" I would have laughed if I wasn't feeling so sour. Then I remembered Oreo didn't pee yet. "I'm tired I'm gonna head up now". David pulled me back. "You sure" he whispered biting my ear. Holding back a moan I shoved Oreo into his arms. "Hundred percent" proceeding up the stairs I laughed at David swearing.

**************

"I just don't know what Claire. Am I not good enough".

"Saryah don't talk like that. You're gorgeous, my brothers just an idiot......You know what come help me pick out the cake tomorrow. Dom doesn't trust me going on my own" Claire and Dom we're back on track. "Sure why not"

"Okay great. I'll see you. And don't go reading all the star sign stuff to figure this out". I could hear her eye roll through the phone. Saying goodbye quickly, I hung up the phone.
With a few taps I came across a blog, "Five signs to figure out if he's cheating".

Looking through the page I cursed myself for being too skeptical, but still searching for an answer. Some of the things are what he's always done like keeping his work secret. But it wasn't until I came across a statement in bold. 'Suddenly decides to buy you that gift you've been asking for'. Maybe I was interpreting it wrong, but I had been begging David for a dog since my nineteenth. No. I was reading into it. But, he was being overly affectionate these days. Or did I not notice he's like that all the time.

Confusion overtook my mind as I got Out of bed I threw on my work out clothes, ready to go jogging and clear my mind.

Feeling in the mood for black I wore a Nike headband, sports bra and Roche's. Finishing it off with my multi purpose mesh leggings and Dutch braids.

Going down the stairs I took a breath and smiled. "Where are you going?" His accent rang in my ears. "Jog" I deadpanned placing my earphones in.

***************

Tom walker blasted through my ear phones as I pulled up into the graveyard. My parents memorial stones lay together. I came here every time I felt worried or stressed.

"Hey guys, I know I haven't come in awhile sorry. It's just.... I thought everything was perfect. David and I we're doing great. At least.. that what I think. He never lies to me. If something was wrong he would tell me.. right?"

I don't know where I went wrong. I thought we were in love. Just like you two". A small drop began to slither down my face as I reminisced on all the times we had together. Tears poured down my face.

I felt two hands lay on my shoulders softly. Looking back I saw Kian's face he had tears in his eyes. He pulled me in as I squeezed the life from him. We just sat there in silence. He respected my space.

He played with my hair while I placed my head on his shoulder. "How much did you hear?". He kept his head down and said barely above a whisper "All".

I felt so embarrassed and my cheeks began. "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone". I felt relieved that I could trust Kian. I just needed to figure everything out before I confront David.

Kian stood up pulling me with him. We drove back to the house in silence. "If you ever need anything, just ask okay," I nodded closing the door.

As I proceeded into the house I looked back at Kian and gave him a weak smile. After he returned it, I wiped my face. Entering the house I heard some shouting. "David you can't just kick me out of your life, because of that whore!"

"She not a whore. She's my wife and I love her".

"The how come you were with me four nights ago".

"It was a mistake and it's never gonna happen again". I closed the front door making sure both of them heard. Once both of them came out I put on a fake smile a kissed David on the lips. My jealousy had kicked in.

The woman in front of me was beautiful. Instantly I started feeling insecure.

She had fiery red hair

She had fiery red hair. Her make up was a bit overdone but other than that she was gorgeous. She had bright blue eyes and Rosy lips. Her face went back from envy to normal. She looked like she was in her mid thirties. The she stuck out her hand.

"Hi, you must be the famous Saryah. My name is Helen"

For some odd reason she was irritatingly familiar.
