Saryah's POV
Waking up in the arms of the one you love is the best feeling ever. I rolled over and looked at his face. While he slept he looked so peaceful. I traced his cheeks from his cheekbones to his stubble. Yesterday night he opened up to me. Although it wasn't about him, I was happy with what I got. Getting up from the bed I removed the covers causing him to groan. His hands roamed my side of the bed looking for me. "Saryah...... Saryah". "Calm down David I'm here, just going to make breakfast early". He nodded his head signalling he heard me.
I proceeded to the shower. As the warm water cascaded down my back I thought about what David told me. Was Antonio as dangerous as he sounds? Why was he after me and David? Did he know it wasn't David's fault? It was only his grandfather who betrayed his father. Plus why is he after David it was his fathers fault he didn't inherit the mafia. After my shower I threw on a pair of worn out jeans and a lace white top. I went to the kitchen. Bringing out the eggs for omelettes, Kian walked in wearing an open black flannel with matching coloured jeans.
I turned back to the eggs in the pan. "You forgive him way to easily" he said as he brought out fresh cheddar cheese from the fridge. "Kian, I believe you're the one who said I shouldn't let go of him" I complained cracking the third egg. "I never said be his bitch" he whispered. I gasped dropping the egg back in the container. He smirked popping a piece of tomato in his mouth.
I took a wad of butter and rubbed it on his chest and belly. He grabbed the eggs and threw it on top of my head. The eggs dripped from my newly dyed hair down in a straight line. Second later Kian and I were wearing this mornings breakfast. A cough at the entrance of the kitchen caused us to stop in our tracks. David stood at the door with a straight face. Dom on the other hand was on the floor losing his breath.
Kian and I stood with heads down in embarrassment. "I was coming down for breakfast but okay." I glared at a red faced Dom while David started to speak. "Kian can I speak with you, obviously after you guys........ yeah" I snickered. "Oh so you think this is funny" David turned his attention to me. My eyes widened and I hung my head low. When he reached me, he bent down whispering in my ear only audible for me to hear. "They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and my breakfast is all over you. So if two plus two is four and five plus five is ten. I'm meant to eat yo-" I gasped before rushing out of the kitchen.
I took a quick shower before I spent a long time on my hair letting the frizzy pattern free. Throwing on a green wool dress that reached just above my knees. I didn't bother wearing shoes sine we were in the house. Getting out of the room I heard Dom's voice ring through the house get back in there and grab your shoes were going out. I murmured complaining that he didn't tell me earlier. "Is that back talk I hear young lady!" I laughed grabbing my beige pumps.
Everyone entered the car. David and Dom sat in the front while Kian and I sat at the back on my phone. Listening to the radio the song 'Young blood' by Five Seconds Of Summer. I looked at Kian and he smiled from ear to ear. We burst out singing bouncing in the seat I took my seat belt off. He leaned against me kicking his feet in the air. "Damn youngsters" Dom whispered under his breath, everyone burst out laughing. Looking through the the mirror David was laughing nut something flashed in his eyes for a second. Jealousy? After an hour the car came to halt. It was parked in front of a dodgy looking abandoned warehouse.
"Stay in the car" David grunted as Kian and Dom exited the car with him. After everything he's still keeping me here. After two or three minutes of waiting I got bored. I couldn't handle the curiosity that filled my head. Exiting the car I made sure I didn't close the door loudly. I snuck around the back looking for an exit. Turning around I looked in case anyone saw me. I bumped straight into a pole.
Looking up I realized this pole supported a stairway. I dashed towards the foot of the steps. I climbed up almost falling because of a loose step. Opening the door I saw a platform where David stood in front of a throne. The throne had a single scarlet seat lined with gold. It looked like it was made with Italy's finest materials. A single light lit up that platform. The rest of the warehouse was dimly lit. On the balcony men and women took in all that David was saying. There were about five hundred people here. I hid in the back on the balcony facing David. His voice boomed through the whole room.
"And Francisco here betrayed us, snitching to Antonio where the queen and I were living. What shall I do to you?" he pointed towards a young man who had dried blood on his face. He looked drained of energy but his face instantly panicked as David brought the attention to him. Two buff guards held his forearms as he spoke. "Boss, he had my wife and kids. I had to save them. I'm sorry".
David laughed and bent down to look the man straight in the eye. "You think I give a fuck about your wife and kids. The second you stepped foot into this family, I became your god". My eyes widened in fear as I watched the smile in my lovers face expand inhumanely. With a scoff, he tore off his jacket and threw it further away on the platform. The guards flung the man in front of David. "Any last words".
"I'm sorry". David pulled up his sleeves until they reached his elbows. "I never taught my men how to say sorry" He grabbed the man by both sides of his chin. He twisted his chin while the man screamed in pain. David was smiling from ear to ear as the process went painfully slowly, not to my liking. As soon as David got tired a snap resounded though the warehouse. I screamed at the sight. Everyone froze while his limp, bloody body fell to the ground. Scarlet blood spilled from his neck and some still sprinkling out from the top of his spine. The grunts of confusion and approval stopped as everyone turned to me....
"Fuck".
