Chapter14: Tears

Saryah's POV

The girl who I assumed was Kian's last sibling stood leaning on the door frame. Silence....... Everything was silent. She had long brown hair that flowed just below her shoulders. Kian ran up hugging her. "Daniela" he breathed. "Papa, Mama" she kissed Aurora and Nicollo on their cheeks earning a smile from everyone. She sat on my right side immediately striking conversation. "So how's it like? Being his. You know many women in this country envy you, you better keep your man on a leash." I gasped widening my eyes before glaring at her. She laughed at my reaction saying "Its okay I don't swing that way."

I blushed in embarrassment before lowering my head down. "Maybe he should hold you on a leash too." she whispered pointing Kian who had his mouthful of food. We both burst out laughing. He looked at us with puzzled faces before digging back into is spaghetti.

The sky was pitch black. Stars danced around. I laid my head on the headrest dozing off asleep. Arriving at the house all the lights were turned on signalling nobody was asleep. I knew David would be furious if we left without the guards and weapons but I just needed a break from life itself.  I opened the front door slowly letting Kian in. Turning around we both froze in surprise David was still in his suit and so was Dom. Dom proceeded upstairs. 

His hair was a mess and so was his face. His blue eyes were now clouded with distress and anger. But for some reason something in me was telling me not to care. "Sorry we just went to see Kian's family. It was my fault I forced him too. But I didn't notice it got so late-" "Do you know what you have done! I thought they took you. I sent people out to look everywhere for you! And of course you were with Kian again! Do you know how dangerous that was, sneaking off into the middle of nowhere!" he ranted. I was on fire now. "Who David?! Who wanted to take me? If my life was in danger I think I would want to know why? But unfortunately my so called perfect man just keeps everything from me! I just needed a break! You brought me back to this god forsaken place without explanation. Just a subtle potentially deadly secret ay!"

He looked like he was about to blow. "Seriously Saryah many peoples lives are at risk right now not everything is about you all the time! And come on Kian after I told you specifically only to take her out and come back straight away! Wouldn't expect anymore from a junkie" I gasped with tears in my eyes. Kian stormed upstairs without a word. I walked up to David slowly. 

My hand connected with is cheek forming a bruise. His head snapped to the side. "You're probably the reason we had to come to fucking Italy anyways. At least he's is twice the man you are. And will always be." I stormed up the stairs without another word..........
