Later on that night, Evie had planned to seduce Jay, but Mal came back in so quickly, she didn't get a chance. Mal had found Jay right away, and they went into their bedroom. As far as Evie could tell, they were talking, but she suspected they were doing more than that. Evie groaned as she entered her room again. Carlos was sitting at the table with Alessia, bouncing her on his legs. She was giggling, and Carlos was smiling. "Carlos!" Evie groaned and Carlos turned to face her. "Hey Eve." Carlos said with a big smile on his face. "What's gotten into you?" Evie snapped. "I think I'm in love." Carlos said standing up and setting Alessia on the ground. She smiled up at her dad before running out of the room down the hallway. "In love with what?" Evie asked.
Carlos came to stand in front of her, and he said, "You. The one and the only." Carlos leaned forward and stole her lips with his. Evie was shocked at first, and then slowly, she returned his kiss. Carlos snaked his hands to settle on her lower back and hips. He kicked the door shut with his foot, and he pushed Evie onto the bed, and, the rest of the night, they didn't come out of their room. Alessia was with Mal, and Mal had the little girl rested on her hip. Alessia curled up in Mal's embrace, and Mal felt happy and sad in that moment. Sad because she couldn't have her own bundle of joy, but happy that this little girl didn't care about her problems, and was just carefree and happy to be a kid. Jay entered the hallway, and he smiled at Mal. Kids made Mal very happy, and he kissed the top of her head before inviting them downstairs for ice cream. "What do you think Alessia?" Mal asked and Alessia exclaimed. "Ice cream!" She giggled, and the three of them went downstairs.
Alessia sat down on one of the twisty chairs at the kitchen island. Mal sat down next to her, and Jay stood behind the kitchen island, and pretended to be at an ice cream shop. "What can I get you?" Jay asked in a cheery, high, pitched voice, and Alessia giggled. Mal smiled at the little girl's giggle. "Strawberry please." Alessia said and Mal faked shock. "No way! My favorite is strawberry!" Alessia giggled again, and Jackson and Elena, who were in the living room watched Mal with confused and shocked expressions. "I was wrong the entire time. M never wanted to kidnap Spencer and Melissa. She just wanted to love them." Elena whispered to Jackson. Jackson nodded, and Elena got tears in her eyes. "I'm a terrible person." Jackson hugged his wife, and said, "It could have happened to any of us. M isn't open to her feelings like we are, because she's been hurt too much."
Jay got the girls their ice cream, and then he got chocolate for himself. "Traitor!" Mal shrieked, and Alessia joined her. Jay stuck his tounge out at both of them. "Strawberry just isn't for me. More for you two." Jay said, and Mal and Alessia gave him a look. Jay shrugged and sat down next to Mal. "So Alessia, what is it like living in Auradon?" Jay asked. Alessia swallowed her ice cream and said, "Different than living here. In Auradon I have to follow rules or I'll get in trouble, but here I don't have to. Mom and Dad don't really enforce the rules here like they do in Auradon. Auradon is also way crowded unlike here." She took another bite of her ice cream and Mal nodded. "Since your mom and dad are busy tonight, where would you like to sleep? You could have a guest room all to yourself if you'd like." Mal said and Alessia nodded. "Does it have a TV?" Mal nodded and Alessia nodded vigorously. "As soon as you finish your ice cream, we'll get you set up in a guest room, and you can watch whatever movie you want." Alessia nodded, and she finished her ice cream. Ben was put in charge of Alessia then, and Mal and Jay went to their room.
"Do you want to watch a movie, or just talk?" Jay asked her. "No movie." Mal said and Jay nodded. They sat down on their bed, and Mal sighed before leaning her head on Jay's shoulder. "Is this what our lives are going to be like forever? Slow and boring?" Jay laughed at the sarcasm, and she yawned. "There isn't really a better time to show you these." Jay said handing Mal an opened envelope. Mal took it, and she opened it revealing the airplane tickets, and a couple of checks. "What's this?" Mal asked. "First class plane tickets, and 2 thousand dollars of extra money for our vacation." Mal's eyebrows knit together in confusion. "Let me explain." Jay said. "When you went out to do evening chores, Jackson approached me, and he explained how Elena, Jonathan, and himself thought it would be better of them to send us off to Hawaii to try and relieve the tension and stress. He said when we got back, we could possibly try and talk it out. They bought us a hotel suite for two weeks, a rental car, and round trip first class tickets." Mal's mouth dropped open, and Jay smiled. "Close your mouth beautiful, before a fly gets in." Mal shut her mouth, and she opened the envelope again. "They did all this for us?" "They felt bad about what they did, and they know it won't make it completely better, but they thought it would help a bit." "When do we leave?" "In two days."
