let's begin

This is a rant (which is actually rare in my rant book lol)

So I just received this comment

"Not to be rude" yes it's rude you can't start a big rant like that at all anymore bc it just is rude

So I started my rant back lmao

If you've read Brothers, it starts with Luke turning up on Ashton's doorstep as a baby, and Ashton says they should keep him, so they do

They don't tell Luke he's adopted, so as he fucks Ashton he thinks it's real incest

Then Luke finds out and he feels betrayed bc Ashton let him think he was his real brother, Luke would've felt better if he'd known from the start but Ashton doesn't do that

So with Luke being upset about everything he goes to Niall who's his boyfriend, and as I said he's overwhelmed and has sex with Niall and gets pregnant

With his pregnancy he wants to give his kid a great life and he's gotten in to college in Perth and apparently that's a bad thing to put his baby and Niall before Ashton who's actually his adopted brother who coerced him in to a sexual relationship

And of course I added Reece in to the ending because like was I really gonna have two brothers stay together? When Luke didn't feel anything anymore? No I wasn't

Besides Ashton found Bryana and they raised her son together and Reece helped Luke out

And through all of this, Luke's 16, a child, he's pregnant and all over the above in my reply, ofc his decisions are going to be rash and difficult but he didn't it for his god damn daughter

I've muted this person (they've read my other books and seemed chill until now) and I'll probably delete their comment bc I hate to reread my own books and see nasty comments like this that aren't helpful criticism but just mean and bashing the way Luke is portrayed, we never even see his point of view until he leaves for Perth

I delete a lot of comments that are kinda rude about the way characters are bc they're sometimes based on my own personal feelings and thoughts and it feels like an "attack" on my writing ????

I also like to break up my characters sooooo, I like Michael and Luke being intimate while still being with their partners, who let it happen, I also love babies, and by the time I had my idea to break them up, I had stopped liking Luke and Ashton as a couple and already written like 10 Reece and Luke books so I just wanted to book over with and done and I liked the way I ended it because all parties were happy.

Not everyone might agree with what I'm saying right here but I justified each of Luke's decisions in that book bc they seemed like the right thing to do in my opinion, like tell me if the person you were with secretly had lied to you about your life, and you were pregnant with someone else's baby (who was a great person) would you choose your child or some guy who betrayed you
