I laid in bed engrossed in my thoughts. The sun was just starting to rise outside. Takuya was also in bed with me which didn't make the situation any better. That kiss was still on my mind. It didn't feel like the last time in the dining room.
Takuya poured all of his emotion into that kiss and made it as long as possible. I could still feel his lips on mine and his minty taste on my tongue. What is wrong with me?
My eyes flickered to Takuya. His face was nuzzled in my neck as he held me in a back hug. Great, I'm stuck in this position. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in my head.
Takuya probably keeps the keys in his pocket. Hopefully he's a deep sleeper. I placed my hand gently on his waist and went lower until I felt his pocket. His body jerked a bit at the contact.
I slid my hand in his pocket and felt around for the keys, but they weren't there. If they're not in that pocket then they must be in the other one. I removed my hand and went back to my position. I should have known it wouldn't be that easy.
Takuya's hold on me tightened. I felt his lips press gently on my neck causing a shiver down my spine. His warm breath was close to my ear.
"Good morning, baby." He said in a low raspy voice.
If he wasn't such a terrible person I would have been pooling in my panties. Just when I thought that I felt myself grow hot.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked. I nodded hesitantly.
"Good. I'll go make us breakfast. Don't run anywhere." He chuckled and got up.
I was now alone in silence. It wasn't until now that the butterflies in my stomach disappeared. Why were they even there in the first place? It couldn't have been because of Takuya. Just because Amara fell for her kidnapper doesn't mean I will. I'm stronger than that.
Takuya soon came back to restrain me first before we go eat. It has slowly become a routine for me. I sat in the dining room with slouched shoulders as I ate the heart shaped pancakes.
"Why aren't you talking, Marcie?" He questioned.
I bit my lip and stabbed the pancake with my fork. I couldn't talk to him after yesterday. That daze that he put me in. The fact that he can do that scares me.
"Marceline."
The plate in front of me was now empty and so was my glass. Takuya slammed his hands on the table in frustration and anger.
"Fucking speak to me, Marceline!" He roared.
He was breathing heavily as he looked down at my now trembling body.
"Please don't yell." I whimpered.
His face softened and sat back down. My heart was still racing from his outburst. A click from the lock made us both alert. Takuya stood up again and started to make his way through the hallway. He stopped when Kou walked in.
"What is it now?" Takuya asked with a hint of annoyance.
"No need to give me attitude. Here." Kou gave Takuya his phone. I sat at the table, lost.
"Oh fuck!" Takuya cursed. Kou quickly took his phone out of Takuya's hands before he could throw it.
"What do you want me to do, Tak?" Kou asked.
Takuya sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Pay them off."
Pay who off? Kou's eyes narrowed at him. "Pay them off? Do you know how much that would cost?"
"Either that or we shoot up the precinct." Takuya said.
"What is going on?" I asked. Both of their eyes were on me now.
"Your mom has the police out looking for you and Amara. You're all over the news." Kou answered.
My mom is looking for me? Kou showed me the article on his phone. It was a picture of me from last year with a description of me and one for Amara. I have an idea.
"I'll be right back." Takuya left the dining room. I made an attempt to stand up, but the chains that connected to the wall kept me in the seated position.
"Kou." I called. He got closer to me.
"Yes?"
"I need your help."
"With what?" He asked.
"Getting me out of here." I whispered.
"Are you crazy?" Kou whisper-yelled. "If Takuya finds out I help you escape, he'll kill me!"
"I know he will, I'm sorry. I'm just desperate. I miss my life. I miss being in my apartment with Amara. Hell, I even miss going to college. Please Kou."
"I don't know, Marceline."
"Please." I begged.
Kou sighed and put his phone in his coat pocket. "Marceline, I really want to help you, but Takuya is my cousin. I can't turn my back on him."
I bit my lip. Of course Kou wouldn't help me. It was stupid to ask him for help. Kou placed his hand on my shoulder.
"I know this isn't an ideal situation, but I promise it will get better. Takuya really loves you to the point it drives him mad. Just be good and it will get better. You won't have to wear handcuffs everywhere you go." He said.
Takuya came back in the dining room with a check in his hand. Kou removed his hand from me before Takuya could notice. Takuya gave the check to him.
"Pay them off." He ordered. Kou nodded and waved to me before leaving.
I could feel Takuya's eyes on me. I heard his footsteps which made me grow nervous. He stopped next to me and leaned into my neck. I started to shudder when I realized he was sniffing me.
"Takuya, what are you doing?" I asked
"I want to have some fun." He said as he kissed and nibbled on my neck.
I shoved him off of me causing him to stumble and fall. He sat up from the floor with a smirk.
"You look like you have something on your mind, Marcie. Want to share with me?" He said.
"No, I won't be vulnerable in front of you." I replied.
"Why not?" He questioned. "We're practically together, I should know what's going on with my love."
"We are not together." I spat.
His eyes darkened and a scowl appeared on his face. Crap, I pissed him off. Takuya stood up and placed his hand on my forearm. It traveled slowly up to my neck. He gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Don't say that ever again."
"What if I do?" I countered.
"You don't want to find out." He walked towards the door and looked back at me. "I'm getting impatient, Marcie. You have to love me back." He chuckled. "I can't wait to hear you say you love me." With that being said, he left the room.
I sighed and tried to stand up. I groaned and sat back in the chair. I forgot about the chains that kept me in place.
"TAKUYA!"
