Pride's True Love.

Confusion

There was a silence over them but thankfully it wasn't awkward as they laid there together in a warm loving embrace. Naturally as his body grew the hotter he would become and therefore his body would release more heat but for this particular morning it came in handy for once. It was rather chilly and windy for a such a beautiful morning or was this morning just beautiful because of the memories made on this particular patch of grass? Even a morning as chilling as this, his body heat provided more than enough warmth for Merlin to sleep soundly and comfortably as if she were in bed. Escanor looked down at her with a small smile running the back of his index finger down the side of her cheek. How could he ever want this moment to end?

Her sleeping so soundly and peacefully gave him a chance to get dress but Ofcourse he couldn't just leave her like that now could he? She'll freeze! So before he moved away from her, he takes her dress lays it over her to keep her warm for the moment and quickly grabbed his clothing and got dressed, Ofcourse his shirt was a no go because he SO wanted to show off and bursted all the buttons  off it when he tore it open. Once he was done, he returned to her side and did the same with her outfit, thankfully now in this form she was easy to maneuver and he was over rather quickly.
He didn't wanted to wake her up but it was time to go home, so he supported her light frame against his heavy muscular one and walked back home but there was something rather.. gross and disturbing even.

A few feet from them was another tall shady tree and who could be under it watching them? Well none other than Meliodas of course. Ugh.. of everyone at the tavern why did he had to see and wait.. how long has he even been there!?!
"Yo! Escanor got some pu-"
"SHUT UP! WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE.!?!"
The two men violently whispered at eachother as if it was the hardest secret on Earth to keep.
Meliodas lets out stifled laughs while Escanor tried to scold him.
"SERIOUSLY! Why are you here.. you've ruined this night for me... don't let lady Merlin find out.. atleast leave her memories of tonight be pure and special." Escanor said with a sigh and a shake of his head, such an unlucky soul.
Meliodas turned slyly on his heels one hundred and eighty degrees right and placed his hands behind his head as he started walking. Naturally Escanor followed suit as they both made their way to the tavern.
"I came to make sure everything was okay between you two and you know our code; of a sin is in trouble the others must do everything they can to help. I was right because you definitely hurt her with what you were packing.~~" he said teasingly and pointed his fingers at him as if they were guns.

Escanor was unimpressed and rather irritated "was that a penis reference!?! And you wonder why I look down upon you.. especially demons.." he sighed exasperatedly, rolled his eyes and continued to walk with his captain. Not everything they spoke about was bad or.. irritating. Meliodas expresses his happiness for Escanor and Merlin and spoke of his times with Elizabeth even going into briefly about her many rebirths. Escanor took this and found some common ground with his captain and complimented him as well about having such a lady like Elizabeth. They spoke of their lovers respectively and the memories they made and shared but nothing flustered Castelio's face more than the Captain saying that he knew about Escanor's feelings for Merlin since day one. He had nothing else to say and found his prideful self, speechless.

Their walk together back was quiet but back at the tavern everyone stared at them and immediately questioned them and wondered if something  happened to Merlin seeing the state of Escanor's shirt. Diane, Ban, Gowther and Elizabeth  all spoke one after the other.
"Did you and Merlin get into a fight!?" Exclaimed Diane
"Woah! Finally got the balls to knock some sense into her huh?" Remarked Ban.
"They smell of sex." Blatantly and emotionlessly replied Gowther
"Is lady Merlin alright?!?" Questioned nervously by Elizabeth but Escanor silence them all.

"SHHHH!! Merlin is sleeping.. Shut up Gowther you godless TRAP" he said annoyingly and made his way past everyone as he head upstairs to lay his beloved down for rest before he even attempted to stay humane and socialize with the people downstairs.
Meliodas decided to spill the beans naturally. Because he's an idiot.
"Heh Heh Heh. Weeeeeelll I followed them because I thought they were gonna fight but they ended up..... doing something else. I can tell you this Escanor really is a beast that only Merlin can tame. It was fun watching them both so now I can give you ALLL THE DETAILS. Merlin got cute boobies. But Ofcourse they're no match for Yours isn't that right Elizabeth?" He said and snuck up behind her fondling her rack as if they were stress relieving balls. What a Jackass...

Upstairs Escanor had tucked Merlin in and kissed her lips goodnight but right as he was about to leave she woke up and saw him.
"Escanor?.. don't go just yet. Just a few more minutes please. Will you lay with me?.. again?" She chuckled softly and scooted around to make room for the hunk of a man.
Escanor happily agreed and just like he did before, he laid next to her and runs his fingers through her hair.
"You should rest my love. You might need it to kick Captain's ass later, I'll explain when you wake up my darling." After a few minutes she was sound asleep and Escanor left once again. This time with a flushed face he tried to maintain his composure and sat at the bar alone. Who else could join him but the two perverts of the guild, Meliodas and Ban. Who constantly asked him and barraged him with a bunch of questions with what happened between his lover and him. All he could do was rub his temples and hope to god that they would stop.

They only seemed to stop when Elaine approached them and gave Ban a serious pouty look. 'How can anyone take  her seriously?' Escanor thought to himself but was rather shocked when he saw how fast Ban and Meliodas left without saying anything.
Escanor faked a smile and poked fun at her
"Ah.. the small one. Tell me Elaine, did you come here to make fun of me too?" He said and reached over  the bar grabbing a pitcher of water and two glasses pouring the lady a cup as well.
She took the cup in her hands and shook her head. "No, I didn't. Please excuse Ban's behavior, he's just a bit silly at times. I saw how they were pestering you so I thought I'd come over and just congratulate you personally and hopefully give you some peace and quiet, I very much doubt they will be back as long as they think we are talking." She giggled and drank the water.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves downstairs whether it was just talking or gossiping and harassing eachother like usual but.. someone upstairs was not so happy..laying in bed was Merlin as she tossed and turned living through a nightmare in her head. She couldn't do anything but remember that day and relive it over and over again until it just seemed to stop. She found herself running aimlessly around in circles. There was no light nor pathway to follow and one familiar spine chilling voice. "Merlin?. Merlin.. MERLIN! It's cold.. I can't see you.. but I know you're there.. Merlin.. please save me.. they're coming! NO!"  He screamed before he was dragged away, or so it seemed.
"NOO! DONT GO!" Merlin screamed waking herself up, sweaty mess but she was shaken and terrified and scream at the top of her voice.
A deep dark voice echoed and faded shortly after.
"You'll never leave here, Arthur."
