That night I stayed at Harry's telling my parents that I was studying with Kelly late at night.
The rest of the week I ignored Calum, moving to a different table with different people, not responding to any of his texts. I really thought I had gotten away from him, lost his interest.
"Oh my god you don't need that much butter!" Harry exclaimed, laughing at the amount of butter I poured on the popcorn.
"Shhhh, we're in public" I giggled, continuing to add butter on top of it.
"So?" He sassed, playfully putting his hand on his hip.
"You're a teen heart throb" I rolled my eyes, a smirk on my face.
"Well you're a teen, do I make your heart throb?" Harry teased, nudging my elbow.
"Ew gross" I teased, his mouth falling open in shock.
"Get me a root beer" I smiled, walking over to the soda machine.
"Who likes ro-"
"Emma" The voice I'd been ignoring for a week called.
My eyes grew wide as I looked at him, I could hear the soda machine stop, I could feel Harry's eyes on us.
"Why have you been ignoring me?" Calum asked, his voice was soft, his eyes were sorry.
"I- I" I stopped, feeling the tears form in my eyes.
"Emma" Calum cooed, walking closer to me.
"No, please don't get near her" Harry spoke, stepping in front of me.
"And who are you? Her boyfriend?" Calum snapped, a change in his voice immediately.
"Her best friend" Harry corrected, a grin growing on my face listening to what he considered himself as.
"Then let me talk to her" Calum sighed, but Harry took a step back, getting closer to my body.
"She obviously doesn't want to talk to you, mate" Harry breathed, my hand grabbing his as Calum's feet stepped closer.
"Emma, I'm sorry, okay?" Calum said, but his voice didn't sound sincere.
"I'll leave you alone" Was the last thing he said before he brushed past Harry.
"Thank you" I breathed, hugging Harry once more.
"Well that movie was shit" Harry laughed as we hopped into my moms SUV, me starting the engine.
"It was scary!" I argued, pulling out of the parking spot.
"Yeah, you kept clinging onto my arm" He chuckled, turning the AC up.
"I was scared" I laughed, Harry plugging his phone up to the aux cord.
I didn't really pay attention to the first two songs he played, focusing on the road since we were on the highway.
"Listen to the wind blow, watch the sunrise" Harry softly sang, him turning up the volume.
"Run in the shadows, damn you love damn your lies" Harry continued, my eyes slightly glancing at him.
"And if you don't love me now" He sang louder, leaning back in his seat.
"You will never love me again" His eyes closed.
"I can still hear you saying you would never break the chain" I harmonized with him, missing his glance at me.
"I thought you were too young for that song" Harry spoke as we entered his kitchen, my hopping up on his counter.
