Today was horrible.
Even worse than Sunday, when Harry left me after he kissed me. Well, after he told me to kiss him.
I had failed my math test and now I sat here with my mothers disappointed eyes narrowed at me.
"Tutoring? Huh?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.
"This portion was hard, mom" I sighed, trying to keep my lie together.
"Or maybe it was all a little lie to sleep around" She taunted, my dad immediately standing up.
"Catherine, that is enough. Emma has done nothing but kept good grades this semester and she made one mistake! It wasn't even a mistake! She went to a party! Hasn't gone back since! So let it go! Its sick that you always have to have something against your daughter!" He yelled, my moms eyes widening in shock.
"Well maybe if she wasn't such a fucking whore! And you're okay with it!" She yelled back, standing up and matching his height because of the high heels she had on.
I left the kitchen, running up the stairs, tears streaming down my face. I know my dad was standing up for me but when they fight they fight bad. Throwing things and their hands.
I quickly packed a bag as both of them continued to fight, sneaking down the steps and grabbing my fathers car keys and leaving the home.
"Emma?"
"I know your mad at me but I need you, my parents are fighting and I-" I paused, not because I wanted to, but because the tears came falling.
"Emma"
"I can't take it and you're my best friend and I know you-"
"Shhhh angel" Harry cooed, wrapping his arms around my neck, pulling me in for a comforting hug.
"I'm sorry" I sobbed into Harry's chest, gripping the back of his shirt.
"Come in" He smiled, pulling away, my tears still falling.
"Now tell me whats happened" Harry cooed, sitting next to me on his bed.
"I failed my math test and she said I was sleeping around and that I wasn't really going to tutoring which I'm not but I'm not sleeping around and then my dad yelled at her for a valid reason and I just packed my shit before things got to serious" I breathed, telling him a summary.
"Emma" He sighed, looking at me.
"I know you're mad at me and I know I shouldn't have come here but I had no where else to go" I croaked, looking at my fingers.
"I'm not mad at you, angel" Harry replied, grabbing my hand in his.
"I still like you, Emma" He told me, my hopeful eyes looking into his.
"But-"
"No" I cut him off.
"I understand, you have a career, you can't be seen with me, I'm sixteen" I finished for him.
"Yeah" He gulped, his hand still holding mine.
"I've already talked myself through this, Harry. Thats why I tried to hold in my feelings" I admitted, staring at our intwined fingers.
He scooted closer, his thigh touching mine.
"I know the backlash you'll get and I know you'll be called things your not" I continued.
"I know I could ruin your career just because of my age, and I know that I'm not the ideal girl you're usually seen with" I stopped, finishing my little speech.
"Maybe when you're legal" Harry joked, kissing the back of my hand.
"Maybe" I laughed.
I still had my dads car, I had it for a day.
Not a single message or call from either one of my parents.
They knew I needed space.
So I was still at Harry's.
I had stayed home today. Well at Harry's home.
"Hey" Harry yawned, entering the bathroom where I was braiding my hair into two french braids.
"Morning"
"You seem down" He pointed out, grabbing his tooth brush.
"My parents haven't contacted me" I sighed, watching his eyes fill with pity as he wet in toothbrush.
"I'm sorry, angel" He sighed, before brushing his teeth, wrapping his empty hand around my shoulder and pulling me in his chest.
I wrapped my last elastic around the end of my last french braid.
"Its fine" I sighed against his t-shirt covered chest.
"Wanna go out?" He asked once he was done brushing his pearly whites.
"I don't really know" I told him honestly, laying back down on his bed.
"We could go get really good french toast" He poked, looking through his dresser drawers.
"Harry" I warned, sitting up.
"I know, I know. I just wanna see you smile" He said, making me smile.
"So pretty" He sighed in content as he saw my face in the mirror.
"Shut it" I smiled, getting off of the bed.
I picked out a pair of black high waisted girlfriend jeans and an army green cropped sweater.
"We should twin" He teased, me shaking my head.
"No thanks" I teased back, throwing on some socks and then my black slip on vans. The only shoes I had packed besides my white converse.
"Let me just fill in my eyebrows" I called, walking into the bathroom.
"Ready" I said after about ten minutes, deciding to put on mascara and lipgloss as well.
"Good huh?" Harry chuckled at my mouth full of the banana french toast I had ordered.
"Very" I swallowed, cutting another piece.
"I come here a lot because it's small and no one really sees me" He explained, taking a sip of his hot coffee.
"It does suck that there is constantly people following you" I sighed.
"Yeah but its mostly paparazzi, my fans are always polite" He smiled, still sipping on his coffee.
"Can I have a sip?" I asked, pushing my empty glass of orange juice to the side.
"Its black" He shrugged, passing me the cup.
"Ah fuck! Gross!" I coughed, immediately giving him the cup back.
"You're just used to your overly sweetened iced coffee" He laughed.
"Oh shut up, at least mine is good" I sassed, popping a banana slice in my mouth.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night angel".
