"She's weak, Orochimaru." Emiko's father stated, slamming his palms on the desk, "Make her stronger. We'll pay you as much as its worth."
"-Please" Her mother begged the Sanin. Orochimaru shut his eyes, and let out a sigh. "With this operation... there is a high risk of fatality, Hedeiki. What makes your brat so special?" His snake like eyes scanned her father's charcoals.
"Not much at all." The man admitted. The snake-man crossed his arms as he thought the situation over. After he had come to a conclusion he looked up to the parents and smirked, "If this operation should succeed, when she's grown she'll join my side, deal?" Emiko's mother sent her husband a look of uncertainty, and he let out a sigh, looking down at the Sanin's long crooked fingers. Finally, shook Orochimaru's hand, reluctantly sealing the deal.
"Deal."

Day after day she was hooked up to machines.
Legendary Sanin Lord Orochimaru, forced her to withstand tests not even grown men were able to withstand, all under her parent's orders.
But she made it. And at age 9, once Emiko had recovered, she had to put her abilities to the test under Orochimaru's observation.
Currently, Emiko was walking down the long stone hallways of Orochimaru's lair. She curiously looked around, tagging along Kabuto's side, as he was instructed to give her a brief tour of the place.
"Over there is Juugo. Don't go near that cell, got it?" Emiko raised a brow at the boy, craning her neck to see what was within the cell ahead. "Why not?" Kabuto let out an annoyed sigh. In order to help operate further on the girl, he was to show her around simply because Orochimaru couldn't find anyone better to.
"Because I said so. He's the most dangerous monster in this place." Emiko kept quiet as he continued to walk forward, which they did for a long time. Once they were stopped, Kabuto yanked her wrist forward shutting her inside a room.
After she had made sure the boy had left, Emiko hurried to the cell just to take a peek at "Juugo". She stood on her tip toes in order to look in, and sure enough, there was someone sitting in the far corner to the left. Though most of him was immersed in shadows, she was able to decipher that he was just about her age.
"He's no monster.." She murmured. Her amethyst eyes widened as she covered her mouth in shock, not meaning to say that out loud. "Who's there...?" A monotone voice came from the boy.
"My name's Emiko, sorry about that." She apologized. A long silence followed after. "Well it was nice meeting you. You're not as bad as they put you out to be!"

Day after day Emiko would sit beside his cell, and talk to the boy...though she'd get no response. It was nice having someone her age to speak to, even if it was a sentence. The young girl would do anything that passed time in that horrendous place.
Her persistence is what had finally caused Juugo to snap, but it didn't scare her off. It only increased her visits...
"Hi Juugo, I brought you another Cinnamon roll. It didn't look like they have been feeding you well.. It's not fair if you ask me." She weaved her hand through the bars of the cell so that he could grab it.
No response.
As usual. Emiko sighed, she thought maybe this time he'd give her at least some form of acknowledgment of her existence.
Right as she was about to un-slither her hand from the cell, she felt the pastry get taken. Shocked, she looked up to find herself face to face with the boy. Shyly, he lowered his gaze from her,"Thank you.." Emiko's widened eyes had now gone back to normal, and her expression was replaced with a grin.
"You're welcome"
And that was the bloom of a beautiful friendship between the two of them. Emiko had finally found something worth-while in that foul place.
