010 | Our own story

Zion's POV

After a week since the park I haven't spoken to rey and I didn't want to. I invited a few friends over to hangout and ofcourse Rey was going to be there.

I played around with the boys and it was really funny. I felt happy, but then I got distracted I thought of Haley. Me and Haley are good again. And I am so in love with her again. She's everything I actually need and I should've known that since the begging.

- Ayy, so I'm gonna go get a drink. I said to Haley and kissed her. She made my heart melt.

I walked to the table where the drinks were, and apparently Rey was there so I acted cool.

- Hey, I said to her and smiled. I even smirked.

She just smiled at me and looked down again. I was really surprised that she didn't even say hi to me.

- Well, I'm gonna go inside, so if you need me..I said as I smirked one more time and she gave me an eye contact.

I went upstairs to my room and checked my computer for some new emails. There were just emails of subscriptions which was completely irrelevant to me.

I heard the door open. It was Rey.

- Are you really over me? She said to me and looked at me. She looked upset, her brown bear eyes were looking at me. Deep into my eyes, she couldn't cut the eye contact.

- Y-Yeah.. I stuttered out and it felt like my tongue slipped. I was getting nervous. This didn't mean anything right? I brushed my hair as I thought about what we could be. My arms wrapped around her tiny waist.

- Okay she said to me with no motions, was I really? I felt how my heart dropped and I couldn't let her go. She was walking towards the door but I managed to grab her tanned silky hand as she looked at me. Surprised.

- Don't take it personally, you're really beautiful but it's time to move on Rey. I told her as I regretted every single word that I spit out. I wanted to hit my head against the wall.

- I'm fine, I have Nick. And I could never love anyone as much as I love him. She told me and smiled. She looked confident. I sighed.

- Yeah sur-

- Hey babe. Nick kissed her on the lips. I rolled my eyes, there was an opening to ask her if her and Nick were gonna last.

- Babee, you look so beautiful today oh my god. She said as she put her hand on his waist and kissed him one more time. Nick put his fingers on her chin as he lifted her head up.

- I really missed your soft lips. I saw her smile. I wish I could make her smile.

- Nick I'm just going to talk to Zion.. she looked at him with a look as he walked away. He was pretty understandable, surprisingly.

- I'm sorry it's just.. I interrupted her and she sat next to me on the bed. My hands were on the bed and I looked at her.

- Don't worry, how could I ever get mad at that pretty face. She giggled. We haven't smiled at each other for so long and I missed it. I literally laughed. Her words made my heart beat. Just listening to her voice could make my heart race.

- Rey. Maybe we aren't like bellarke. We have our own story. I said to her as I looked deep into her eyes.

I felt how I put my forehead closer and closer to hers until I felt her skin onto mine. I could even feel her strawberry breath. I saw a tear stream down her face as I backed off and looked at her. I put my hand on her cheek and looked at her.

- I told you, it would never work! I'm with Nick. She said as she ran out of the room. I couldn't breathe, what was that supposed to mean?
