13. New Opportunity

(A.U. - Okay im having a really hard time of thinking when I want Spock And Adelia to meet ahhh comment what chapter you want them to meet by)

Well lets just say once Nyota brought up the little fact of me being frozen girl everyone was kinda silent.

For only a minute and then they went back to getting sloppy drunk.

But Nyota and Pavel talked to me the whole time.

"So what are your plans after you graduate" Nyota practically screamed over the loudness of the bar it had slowly riled up as karaoke had started a little under an hour ago and Kirk had quickly thought to show his skills.

"No idea may just get a job at a hospital and slowly try to build a new life for myself I genuinely have no idea to be honest" I chuckled taking another sip of the weird fruity beer which was quite nice.

Suddenly Pavel jumped from his seat like a sudden light-bulb hit and ran off to god knows where.

"Um what was all that about" I laughed thinking it was a bathroom emergency.

Suddenly he came back dragging a half out to it Doctor MCcoy who looked like he wanted to go back and continue drowning in his sorrows.

"Doctor MCcoy said he needed a new nurse and you are in training to become a nurse yes?" he asked a trick question.

"Yes" I answered kinda catching his drift.

"Yeah And?" MCcoy slurred totally NOT catching his drift.

"Well I want to hang out with my Aunt more and if she was on the ship I could see her twenty four seven right" At this point Pavel had a Cheshire smile and from the look at MCcoys face he was finally catching the message Pavel was saying.

"Okay kid how good are you?" MCcoy said straitening his posture and looking me over.

Just as I was about to reply Kirk stumbled over hooking an arm around MCcoys shoulder.

"Ah what does it matter I'm the captain and I say once she graduates shes on alright"

"Um maybe think about this before you let me on I'm good but I'm sure there are others that are better" It was true there were lots of others I'd heard about who were better sure my professors said I was good and way better than they'd expected but I was still a little apprehensive.

"You're actually really good Fletcher has sent me e-mails on the reports he gets"

"Yeah apparently you're an A+++ grade student?" MCcoy raised his eyebrows.

"Or do you just not want to hang out with this old fart cause don't worry it's usually so busy down there you'll barely see him" That earned Kirk an elbow to the chest from MCcoy.

"You know what sure if you're hiring I'll take it" I smiled hoping I sounded cool or confident.

"Great welcome to the team" MCcoy put out his hand to shake and I accepted.

Just as everyone decided to disperse to go back to singing or drinking I quickly grabbed Pavel by his shirt collar.

"Yes" He said turning around or moving his head since I had a pretty firm grip on the collar.

"Fletcher sent you my grades and you both have my grades"

Oh I was definantly going to lose it.
