As ____ walked out of the station in Nimbasa City, she looked up and watched the snowflakes spiral to the ground. Sighing, she started heading over to the amusement park. Earlier that day, while she was on the train from Kalos to Unova, one of her friends asked her to stop by in Nimbasa and hang out with them in the amusement park. He claimed he had something to show her.

When she reached the secondary gate into the park, she saw a familiar silhouette. Hanging out by one side of the gate was none other than her old friend; Red. He was mumbling to himself, which certainly was odd. That boy, even though ____ had known him for years, never once mumbled to himself.

"HEY RED!!!" Even though ____ was right behind him, she decided to scare the living daylights out of the boy.

Quickly toppling over, the boy turned around with a rather harsh look on his face. Noticing the person who had nearly burst his eardrums, Red calmed down a bit.

"Oi, ____! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

Leaning over with a minor smirk crossing her face, ____ held out her hand. "Nope, just trying to get you to stop mumbling to air."

Grabbing her hand, and jumping back to his feet, the Kanto Champion looked a little sheepish. "Well thanks.... I guess. Now c'mon!"

Noticing that Red hadn't let go of her hand, and was now dragging her further into the park, an actual smile fluttered across her face.

"Sure!"

Red's POV!

Clutching ____'s hand, I pulled her towards a shooting booth. Ever since she had lived in Kanto, I found out that she was both infatuated with the shooting booths, and extremely skilled in it. However, if she saw something she definitely wanted, she never was able to get for some odd reason.

"Hey Red! Look! They have a (fav/Pokemon) plushie! It's so cute!"

Glancing back at her, I saw one of her signature, and incredibly infectious, smiles. It was 100% impossible to not smile if she was at a time like this.

"Yeah, but knowing you, you might be able to get everything else, but that exact plushie."

"Aw, shut up! Knowing you, you'll try'an get that exact plushie for me!"

Ugh, she knows me too well. If she knows that... ____ probably knows that I like her!

"Fine..." >.< This isn't going as planned.... Oh well.

Twenty minutes and several attempts later, the two of us were finally on the Ferris wheel, and ____ humming while holding the plushie.

Glancing back at her, I noticed how she was looking straight at me.

"What's up, ____?

"E-eh? Oh, nothing major."

I admit, I was kinda pissed off by that response...

"Hey.... Don't you know what day it is, ____?"

"Day?"

*facepalm* "It's White Day, idiot.... It's been a month since Valentine's. So it's White Day."

Judging from her confused expression, I realized she had no idea what I was talking about.

So I immediately went into explanation mode. "On White Day, the reverse happens: men who received a honmei-choco (本命チョコ?, 'chocolate of love') or giri-choco (義理チョコ, 'courtesy chocolate') on Valentine's Day are expected to return the favor by giving gifts. Traditionally, popular White Day gifts are cookies, jewellery, white chocolate, and marshmallows among other things."

"Now I'm thoroughly confused.... Red, can you explain it in shorter terms?"

Looking out of the window, I finally said what I had planned to. "In short, I wanted to give you a present as a way of thanks for the chocolates you gave me on Valentine's Day." Reaching into my pocket, I grabbed a small box, no longer than my hand.

"Catch." As I threw it to her, I saw her look both surprised and a mixture (?) of happiness and something else.

Even though she hadn't noticed, the Ferris wheel car that we were in reached bottom. Grabbing her wrist, just to be safe, I dragged her out of the car.

At the time, ____ had been unwrapping the box.

After the two of us were off the ride, she was stumbling behind me, desperately trying to keep up. After we reached a bench caught between two trees, sheltering us from the brutal sunlight, she sat down.

"Can I open this now, or no?" ____ looked slightly impatient~. Cute~!

"Feel free."

As she tore at the wrapping paper, she finally (after ten layers of wrapping paper!) found a card. It was in the shape of her favorite Pokemon, and held a special question in in. (No, it's nothing perverted!!!)

"Hey, ____. Check the card last. Alright?"

Nodding, she finally (after 12 more layers of wrapping paper) got to the box. As she opened it, I started walking away.

Inside it was none other than the necklace that she meant to buy sometime around Christmas, but then totally forgot about. Partially because I bought it for her, meaning to give it to her on Valentine's Day. And then failed.

"WAIT, Red! Geez, don't walk away after giving me something and leaving an easily answered question like that!"

Wanna know what that question was?

Hey, ___. I know you probably are mad at me for walking away, but I have a question for you, after you see this. I've loved you for a really long time now, since we were kids, really. So, will you go out with me?

"So then what's your answer, ____?"

"You already know it! Of course I'll go out with you!"

Even though she was standing right in front of me, with a crystal heart necklace hanging around her neck, blushing, it was kind of hard to believe what she said.

"I'm going to tease you more now, alright? Those twenty two layers of wrapping paper won't even compare, alright?"

"Fine! So shut up! I saw that side note!"

"Gotcha."

The side note said one other thing.

If your answer is yes, then it's alright for me to kiss you, right?

Grabbing her chin, and looking into her shining (e/c) eyes, I kissed her. That's all I'm telling you, so butt out of my personal love life, alright? ____'s mine, and always will be.
