School festivals. They could be great or terrible. How ever you looked at them. This year wasn't going to be that bad right? You see I was really, really shy. My friend, Blue, was trying to get me out of my shell. She was determined since she said I had a bigger shell than a Crustle. She said that I needed to be more open to get guys to like me but I was just too shy for any guy to like me.

Today she and I were going to go threw the haunted house. Never a good idea first off. It was filled with Ghost types, zombies, skeletons, and all of that stuff in it. They also put in bug types because most of the girls were afraid of them. Mostly Misty because Ash and Gary were in charge of the haunted house.

I held on to Blue as we went inside. "(Name), would you calm down?" she asked. She knew I didn't want to be here in the slightest.

"B-Blue," I said. "C-Can we leave?"

"No way," She said. She looked behind me and said, "No way. Green's behind us. Come on, (Name) act cool."

Green was with Red. They came up and Green said, "Surprised to see you in here."

"Why not?" Blue asked. "Not like any of these things would scare me. Right, (Name)?"

"I . . . I guess not," I said.

"Cool. Let's go together," he said.

So then Green, Red, Blue and I went threw this haunted house. It wasn't all that bad. Thought this one part was funny. We went threw a small corridor and Blue was freaking out. She had her arm wrapped around Green's arm and then was really scared. That wasn't funny but when a Spinarak came down and rested on her shoulder she screamed.

She hit it and then ran away. I felt sorry for the Spinarak and it was kind of hard to see but I found it on the ground. I petted it's little head. "There, there. It's alright. Blue didn't mean to hit you. Come on. Let's get you out of here.

Spinarak and I left with Red and Green behind me. Red said he was going to go check on Blue where as Green and I went to the nurse's station. It's where we and pokémon could get medicine if we needed it.

I put Spinarak down and Green looked for our school nurse. He came back and said, "She's not in here. She left a note saying she was going to break and would be back in five minutes but that was well over an hour ago," he said.

I got up and then got a potion and a band-aid. I went back over and applied the potion then the band-aid. Spinarak let out a happy cry. "That's good. You should go back to your friends now alright? I bet they're worried about you." It nodded and then left. I stood up and Green was staring at me. "W-What?" I asked.

"Nothing," he said. "You're just amazing, (Name). Hay, wanna check out the rest of the festival with me?"

"S-Sure," I said.

We then went to play games, have some food, look at the crafts the art club made, and then rode some rides. We had a lot of fun together. Though a lot of the girls didn't like me being with him. He was the most popular boy in our grade, no school. He was everyone's crush.

I didn't understand it until I was around him. Most people focused on his looks but he was really sweet and kind. He wanted you to have fun. His smile and eyes are what got me. His eyes told you exactly how he was feeling and seeing his smile made you want to smile. But I didn't get why be so hung up on looks when he himself was better than his own image.

Green had grabbed my hand and taken me to a secret garden. It was filled with so many different flowers. I never knew this place existed. It even had my favorite flower, (favorite flower). They were so beautiful.

"Uh, Green, why are we here?" I asked.

"I thought it'd be nice to come here," he said. He took a (favorite flower) and smelled it. "I mean it's really nice here right?" He put the flower behind my ear and moved my hair. "By the way, you look a lot cuter when your hair isn't in your face."

I blushed and looked to the side. His green eyes were getting to me now. "Huh? What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing," I said nervously.

"Come on, (Name)," he said. "You can tell me." He took a piece of my hair and kissed it. I trembled a little and blushed. "I kind of like that expression on your face."

"Green, s-stop messing around," I said.

"What? Why? I'm alone with the girl I have a crush on," he said. He then pushed me up against a hedge and put his hand on the side of me. "And I was hoping she'd returned my feeling." I stared at him extremely nervous and my face was on fire. His eyes were sincere but it's like they saw right threw me.

"Green . . . . I . . . I mean I . . . I . . ." I tried to say.

He smiled and got closer. He went to my ear and said, "You're so cute when you're embarrassed." He started to kiss my neck and I moaned a little. He pressed his body closer.

"G-Green," I said pushing him back a little. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes. "I-Is this alright?" I asked.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't it be?" he asked.

"It's just you're really popular and I'm . . . not. No one really likes me. I mean . . . I'm so shy and not pretty and you can have anyone you want," I said lowly.

Green sighed. "Is that how you see yourself? (Name), you really are pretty. Gorgeous really. Sure I could have any girl but I don't want just any girl. I like you. Because you haven't freaked out when I walk by. You don't care about me like that. You only see me as Green and not Green Oak. Plus, I really like how sweet and kind you are. You don't care about what most people say and the way you think. I can never know what you're thinking and it drives me insane in the best way." He said. I was caught of guard. No one had said such nice things to me before.

"Green . . . I . . ." I said.

Green backed off. "This is stupid. I knew I'd strike out. Why would a great girl like you like a stupid guy like me?" He turned and was about to leave.

I grabbed his jacket and turned him around. I then kissed him. What was I doing? This wasn't like me but I was so happy I was. He was caught of guard and then kissed me back. I felt like I was the only one that mattered. He held onto my waist and then took one hand to rub the back of my head.

We pulled back and then I hugged him. "I like you too, Green. This was the best school festival ever. Thank you. I usually hate them but not this time."

"No thank you," he said.

I was honest this was the best festival in a long time. I usually hated them but he made it all better and right now with him holding me, it felt amazing. For the first time I felt wanted, needed and loved. I really didn't want this moment to end.
